We are debating 2/28/16 - 3/5/16 OR 3/5/16 - 3/12/16.

Our DS 5th birthday is 3/9 - so ideally we would like to be in the parks on his special day BUT will the spring break crowds start descending that early in March and raise crowd levels high enough to make a difference?

Room rates are only about $120 different one week over the other, so not enough to sway us - crowds are my biggest concern.

Opinions - please!

TIA!!

The rates for next year aren't out yet. And there is no way to predict crowds until the hours are released and those that make crowd calendars release them. But a good indicator will be how far you from Easter. But unless you are right up to Easter, back to back weeks shouldn't be much different. I would choose to take my vacation on my kids birthday.

I have room only rates for both resorts (Movies & Pop) for both dates, which are about $120 different one week vs. the other, but we plan to book a package when they finally drop. Easter is March 27, so just 2wks prior. Thanks for your reply.

Surprised at the lack of feedback on this forum.

I'd go for his birthday. We were just at WDW this year for Easter (April 1-10) and had a great time. It took a lot of planning, and the crowds were VERY heavy, but we were prepared for them and had a great trip. I'd go back during Easter in a heartbeat!.

My suggestion is to look at the crowd calendars for that time frame (2 weeks before Easter) and see how significant the difference is.

My personal vote would be to just go over your child's birthday. I have spent my birthday and DH's birthday at Disney. This is actually DH's birthday request every year so we generally go over his birthday. Mine is this month and entirely too hot so I've only done it the one time. I am hoping to go for DD's birthday one year too. She will be 6 in December. I might just see if I can swing it. LOL
