Today is the 180 day date for making our dining reservations. I called this morning at 7:45am, for 12/7/07 at LeCellier steakhouse in EPCOT. The earliest that they could get us in was at 9:00pm on that date. This place is our favorite to dine at and I couldn't think of going to WDW, and not eating at LeCellier. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

John

I am guessing they already have a large block of slots already reserved for the Candelight Processional dinner packages. We haven't yet learned how these will work this year & when they will go on sale though. It's usually sometime in late summer. I would definitely try again then & see if you can purchase the dinner package with Le Cellier at an earlier time.

I feel your pain......I just tried to book for our December trip.....and we were offered 4:20pm or 9:00pm......I booked the 4:20pm, hoping to snag a package once they come out!;)

make sure you save that reservation though to be safe... When I called to book my ADR for August (before the free DDP even starts) they had few openings left, and the next time I called to CM said they were glad I got what I have because they were booked all the way through a date in september! Keep trying to get whatever time you're looking for, but keep your saftey ADR! Good luck! :thumbsup2

If the time really doesn't work for you AND you have your heart set on eating at LC, I'd keep calling every so often to see what becomes unblocked. I think persistance pays if there's something that you really want and are just a tad flexible on the time. In the meantime, I'd take whatever was available just as insurance.

:surfweb: Not being a huge LC fan, I'd just pick somewhere else that had a more convenient time.

I called at 7 AM for my reservations as well as my mothers.... She is going to Le Cellier's on the 12th at 4:40.. I had no problem getting her a reservation.

Le Celliler - an ilusive ADR.

We've made the trip 16 times. Have NEVER eaten at LC NEVER. Tried again to get ADR just MOnday night and the ressie told us they were booked. I told her we had never eaten there and she said it fills up fast. In the same phone call I got tickets for Hoop Dee Doo and a princess breakfast.

Our trip this year begins July 10

If you are staying onsite, make sure you take advantage of the 180 + 10 rule where you can call on the 180th day and make your ADRs for up to 10 days after during the same call. This may be the only way you can get in. Also, try to be flexibe with your dining times.

John - I feel your pain. Yesterday was my 180 day window and I also tried to book LC for 12/7 and was quoted 8:50 as the earliest. I was able to get a reservation for a few days later and then again on the last night of my trip. I do plan to call back in August when the Candlelight Packages come out and switch if I can. I do think that 12/7 is booked because there are a certain amount of tables set aside for when they issue the CLP package.

I feel your pain too, as this was me last year...but after eating there on that visit, didn't even want to make an ADR again. Definitely not worth it to me...:confused3

we will be at wdw during time you are there. Our ressies are at yacht club for jul 10-16

Le Cellier, for some reason, is extraordinarily popular (probably because it's a decent steakhouse that only requires 1 DDP table service credit). I don't think it warrants the hype but obviously many do. The place is apparently fully booked for months ahead of time.

Try booking for lunch, it seems to be easier to get lunch.

We're going July 1-7, and the best we could do was lunch and we were happy to get it. They had lunch openings for every day of our trip except the 4th (the day we were planning to be at Epcot) so we changed our schedule a bit to work it in. The IPO at AKL said this is one of the most popular restaurants for those on the dining plan and it gets booked up quick.

Good luck!

Candlelight is what's doing it. Either wait for Candlelight reservations to open up or book a lunch. Le Cellier is now becoming CRT-level popular.

1. Go for lunch, it is awesome

2. Call the toll free dining number every single day to see if anything has opened up

I got a res for Le Cellier (five mo in advance), but they were totally booked on the first 3 days I wanted. I got the perfect time on my fourth choice. :) - Just make sure you try for all possible days - of course that would mean rearranging your schedule :confused3 I have been there for lunch also - it's just as good!

My 180 +10 is next week. I thought calling on a Sunday Morn would be to my advantage, but you seem to have squashed that hope!

I'll settle for lunch, early dinner & will also try the Processional Dining when that opens up.
