...but quite frankly it is still pretty sour.

My toe is finally feeling so much better. :) So much better in fact that I was all determined to start kicking butt again and even starting back on my 2 mile WATP and then....BAM! My back went out again. :(

Thankfully not as bad as I hurt it in June but apparently just putting on a pair of shorts was too much for me to take. :( I am desperate at this point so I actually did the unthinkable and went to a chiropractor today! I am not sure I think too much about what they can do and I really have this weird "thing" about people touching my spine. Ewww! They took x-rays today and I need to go back tomorrow to go over the results. I really just want to be healthy again. I am trying to stay on program and I am having some success with it but I am getting really tired of trying to keep myself up all the time while dealing with everything else. :( I just feel so whiny and I hate it. :(

Thanks for letting me whine....could someone pass me the cheese? ;)

Pick up that chin of yours. Things will get better. They have no other choice but to get better! In the meantime, would you like some gouda or cheddar? Heh, heh...

If it's of any consolation, my father was a chiropractor, so I grew up under his care for years. I went to other chiropractors after I left home, too. What I like about chiropractice is that it doesn't involve drugs or chemicals in my body. It's a realignment of what I already have. Medical doctors may tend to give you anti-inflammatories or pain killers, but all they do is mask the symptoms. Chiropractors fix the problem! Now, it may feel sore after your first or second treatment, but that's because your body is trying to get used to being in it's correct position. The muscles have held your skeleton out of alignment for so long that putting things back actually may make you sore. But it's the right thing to do. It's also sometimes amazing how you'll get tingling in your arms or legs or back after treatment. That's because you've had limited blood flow to the affected areas for so long.

Good luck, Becka! Think good, positive thoughts. That, in itself, will help you recover quicker, also!

Things are bound to get better for you, Becka! I am sorry you are hurting, I hope you are not in too much pain!! We are all here for you if you need some support or encouragement!! Hugs, Becka, I hope you feel better soon!! :)

Becka, I hope that you start feeling better soon, you really have been through a lot lately.

Several years ago I was involved in a car accident which really messed up my back. I went to a chiropractor for a long time. It really helped. As well as manipulating my back etc. he gave me an exercise program which I did at his clinic. First of all they tested my strenghth, by checking how many lbs a could lift and they went from there. Perhaps you could talk to your chiropractor about exercise and he could come up with an exercise regime for you. Just a thought.

{{{Hugs}}}Becka. Hope you are feeling better soon. And don't worry, sometimes a good whine is just what we need!! I know it sure helps me to get things out of my system every now and then!! Now, that will be low-fat cheese, won't it?? :teeth:

Take care of yourself!! As long as you're staying on program, things will work out!!

Becka, things will turn around!! ((HUGS))! I know when I used to go to a Chiropractor, my back used to do much better! The last few times I went to the Dr's office all they did was give me pain medication and told me to do exercises. I still went home with my back hurting. I think you will feel so much better with a chiropractor. I even used to work for one years ago, for a short bit of time.

Keep your head up, it's bound to get better.

Melanie

Poor Becka, sorry your back is giving you trouble again :(

My mother has found great relief by visiting a chiropractor regularly and she has degenerative arthritis of the spine. I sure hope the chiropractor can help your discomfort so that you can get back to working out again.

Let us know how it goes.

Becka, I hope you get some relief after treatment by the chiropractor. They can really help problems affecting the spine.
