but it is getting hard:lmao:!!! Just wanted to share our story with people who will understand!

The plan is for my best friend to pick DD up at preschool and then pick me up at work and take us to the airport. Once at WDW we'll meet up with my Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister-in-law, niece and nephew who left yesterday. My DD has no idea that they're in WDW right now! So she wants to call her grandmother and wants to know why is her car parked at my DB house (we live next door)....I told her it's going to get fixed:confused3

I also have the whole spare bedroom set-up with all the items we need to pack...she hasn't noticed yet....I'm hoping that I can continue the surprise because the pay-off will be great - she's been asking to go back since our May trip:rotfl:

Surprise mickey trips are the hardest secrets to keep. You have to triple pinky swear not to say anything but everytime you open your mouth nothing but disney comes out.

I am having a hard time too... we aren't going til Feb 2 and I just want to blab it out to them. Honestly - I think they suspect something at this point anyway.

I hope you have a great time!

That is a great way to keep it a surprise! Good luck and have a fantastic trip-

I think to myself what a nice idea to try and keep a trip a secret. We have been planning our trip for many months now and it is to the point where DD doesn't think we are really going anymore. Next year we will try not to talk about it too much although that will be very difficult ;)

We surprised out kids last year, We started planning it in April. We flew out the day after Thanksgiving. That dinner was a blast b/c the kids thought we were going skiing for a week. But we had a limo come to the door and pick us up for the airport. I gave them a bag and a invite to come and meet Mickey and all his friends. DH wanted to tell them the night before, I didn't break down because I knew I wouldn't sleep and I knew the kids would not of either.
But what memories of the surprise!! Good luck and Give Mickey a hug from cold Northern Illinois!!

Thanks every one for the warm wishes!:goodvibes
Tonight after DD goes to bed - it's time to pack up all the stuff in the spare room :laundy:and then tomorrow night after DD is in bed my best friend (and ride to the airport) will come over to load up- so we can leave straight from school!!

Have a great trip and post pics/report when you return. Can't wait to hear how your DD reacts when you tell her about Disney!

I am practically ready to scream from trying to hold in the surprise from our kids. We are going in Feb but, telling them on Christmas morning, I have a whole "surprise" present planned for them!

That is hilarious! you realize you are so going to Heck for lying buddy! :lmao: to cute. Good for you for keeping it a secret! man what a surprise that is going to be!

I am so excited for you. I can't remember who said it - but I agree that it is so hard keeping the secret when everytime I open my mouth Disney comes out. My DD8 has never been and is fortunately gullible. She thinks I am just planning for our big family 2012 trip (when the twins will be big enough to go). It is so hard because I am SO excited (1st Disney trip for me too!). We were supposed to go in the winter of 2007 but then I wasn't allowed to travel once I was told I was expecting twins. I didn't want her to have to wait until she didn't care about princesses anymore (even as we speak her interest is waning) so I'm using all my frequent flyer miles and going. My good sport husband is staying home with the twins. (He hates rides and I suspect doesn't know what he will be missing - he is frankly puzzled by my excitement!) So we will be picking up Madeline from school and going straight to the Airport on April 20th. Woo Hoo! So I am very excited for you and hope it is all you hope!

Yes It gets harder and harder to keep the secret because DD is 15 and she suspects something especially when I spend time on the dis and making ADR's DD13 hasn't a clue:confused3 We tell them in Feb on Valentines day!! That still gives them time to pick favorite rides etc. We haven't been before. Have a great trip.:upsidedow

Have fun!!! My kids are getting tickets to MK for a day for Christmas. Not a big huge trip but they have never been and this is as close as it's going to get right now. I only have a little over a month and a half to go! I can do it ;)

Thanks everyone for your :goodvibes. We are all packed and DD has no clue:rotfl2: We leave tonight after her day at preschool and mine at work. So when I return I'll let you know how it all goes!!!
