Trying to Justify Upgrading...

Im tempted to say upgrade BUT

how do you spend your days? If you wake up at the crack of dawn and spend all day till you sleep in the parks don't bother. But if you want some chill out room & resort time then really you should go for it!

This is why I said I wouldn’t upgrade. Anytime we go for more than a week we tend to hit the parks heavy in the beginning of the trip where we are rarely at the hotel. Towards the end we are exhausted and end up going to a park for maybe a couple hours to do our fast passes, then we head back to the hotel to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Not that I’d necessarily save the $$$, but just think of what you could do with it! A nice expensive dinner, lots of fancy drinks, maybe a couple special events...

Value resorts are far from romantic, but I don’t think that matters. Wherever you stay will be perfect because you are together. Congratulations !!!

Not trying to start a debate about registries, but have you considered allowing guests register to put money towards your honeymoon? When I have inquired about registries for the past few weddings I have attended, this was an option.

For one couple, we paid for a couples massage. For another, we put in money towards a trip to Paris. They already owned a home together and this is what they wanted. I loved contributing to their special travel experience. A honeymoon is once in a lifetime, but you also don't want to incur debt. It's a win-win in my opinion. Others may think it is tacky.

Update: We decided to stick with ASMusic (again, we know not very honeymoon-y, but we're cool with Value and we'll be storming the parks for the first part of the trip anyways), and decided to instead book: Wild Africa Trek, Keys to the Kingdom, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and dinner at California Grill. Fair trade I think lol.

Oh, that sounds fun! I've always wanted to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Twenty years ago my honeymoon was at a budget hotel offsite so I still think Music will be awesome. We stayed there for five nights in June and had a great time. I think it has a fun atmosphere. We like Broadway best. Happy Honeymooning!

When I look at that list of what you will do.. you so made the right call!! Always wanted to do Keys To The Kingdom. The Christmas Party and California Grill will be so so worth it and the CG is very romantic!!
