Trying to get my ducks in a row.....

Found this statement on wdwinfo and saw it in another place as well, appearing after a list of the resorts that have fitness centers:

If you are not staying at one of these resorts and would like to use a workout center, you may do so by paying $12.00 a day (subject to availability.) Please note that if you schedule a spa treatment, you may use the fitness center that day for no additional charge.

This is correct. When I have been a guest at the DVC Resorts, I have utilized Spa services at both the Grand Floridian and SSR. The price of my spa treatments also included using the fitness facilities for the day as well. Staying on DVC points, nor being a DVC member, do not entitle you to use the other resort fitness facilities free of charge. :)

I know that at Kidani Fitness Center you have to use your room key to gain access. I"m just not sure 'fitness hopping' is part of DVC.

When we pool hopped to SSR one day (I think we were staying at BWV on points), DH asked if he could use the gym and they had him pay $10.

Unless they misunderstood or something has changed, I don't think we can gym hop the way we are allowed to pool hop.

ETA: I'd guess the only way to know for sure would be to call up MS or WDW and ask.

Okay...I will prepare them lol. Maybe I will let them go to Saratoga and pay the fee because that is supposed to be the best gym I believe....other than that they will need to stick to the Contemporary.
