Our date to pick ADRs is fast approaching and I need some help deciding where to eat. Here’s our timeline for the week

  • Friday - arrive at Disney. Plan to go to the park for the day. Staying at the Polynesian this night so was thinking dinner at Ohana, but not sure if we’ll be able to get it since it’s our first night. As a backup was thinking something in Disney Springs, suggestions on where?
  • Saturday and Sunday is wedding rehearsal and wedding
  • Monday - going to try for V&A chef table, I’ll try for the whole stay for this. If can’t get it will just do the normal dining there
  • Tuesday -not sure where to go. Will probably be in Epcot
  • Wednesday - leaving in early afternoon so was thinking of doing a character breakfast or an early lunch not sure where suggestions welcome

Congratulations! Fingers crossed for Chef's Table!! I've had the good fortune to do it twice now and it is amazing!!! In Disney Springs, The Boathouse is my favorite. I think sitting out on the deck or further out on the dockside bar would be romantic, the food is delicious, and I've always had terrific service. An aside but I find bus service to Disney Springs from anywhere to be a hassle so I'd suggest a Minnie Van or Uber/taxi. Another alternative if you don't get O'Hana would be a monorail crawl - sampling something in each of the resorts and lounges -- based on your countdown you might be at the start of holiday decorations (but don't "quote" me on that - would have to research to confirm).

In Epcot, there are so many good choices. I'd probably pick Chefs de France or Monsieur Paul - although I haven't tried the latter. Chefs just always looks so romantic to me at night and a champagne toast wouldn't be bad. If the menu appeals and it isn't too cool at night, a carefully timed reservation at Spice Road Table for a patio seat aligning with Illuminations would also be special.

No matter what you pick, I'm sure it will be the trip of a lifetime. :lovestruc

If you can't get Ohana for dinner, I've heard you can order the food from room service. May be a nice way to enjoy a little quiet and romantic dinner in your room!

EPCOT has a lot of good choices! We enjoyed La Hacienda in Mexico- had an early dinner and it was nice and quiet.

We enjoyed 1900 PF for breakfast! We did a late seating around 11:30 so it was like lunch too!

I guess my choices are leaning toward quieter times and places as being two adults and having a lot of action with a wedding and all, I thought you may want some places to decompress a little!

Congratulations!!:goodvibes

Definitely an option. When staying at Poly I no longer expend time searching for an 'Ohana ressie.. just dial room service and order a Twilight Feast.
PS- 1 order is enough for 2 people with probable leftovers and keep in mind that ice cream doesn't come w/ the room service version.

I'm not sure if you are saying you have somewhere to eat for wedding rehearsal but if not how many people? Lots of good DS eating choices at Boathouse (chops, seafood and raw bar); Ragland Road (Irish pub. Haven't been there yet but the people always seem to be having a good time when we pass by and it's recommended by many posters ) and Morimoto Asia seems well loved and has tables for large groups.

What park will you be visiting the first day?
For Epcot, I would just pick the type of cusine you've the most interest in and go for it. It's hard to find bad eats in the World Showcase.

I’m not sure when they start decorating for the Christmas season, we’ll be there on November 9-14. These suggestions are great thanks!

I didn’t know about the room service for Ohana this would definitely come in handy if we don’t get the reservation.

Quiet places will be nice after such a busy weekend

That’s good to know just one order would be enough. That’s too bad they don’t include ice cream though, I guess it would melt by the time you get to it?

For the rehearsal we are doing a viewing of fantasmic and doing a catered buffet. So the weekend will be all wedding stuff and won’t need reservations anywhere.

I also recommend the Twilight Feast. I'm not a fan of the atmosphere at O'hana - really dark, rushed service - but have done the room service option and it was really nice.

In DS, we love the Boathouse. Have you considered another MK resort restaurant is you can't get O'hana so you don't have to travel so far from your resort? If you just want something casual, GF Cafe and The Wave are very good. For a signature, Cali Grill or Artist Point are lovely (with Artist Point being quieter and more romantic, IMHO)

In EP, we really like Spice Road Table. Nice atmosphere, great staff, good food.

If you want a character meal on check-out day, I would take the monorail over to 1900 at GF for breakfast.

The California Grille is convenient to your location. And the restaurants at the GF are also an option. The Wave has a lovely breakfast buffet that you could do Wednesday morning.

Congratulations! I’m sure whatever you decide will be perfect!

How does the room service work exactly, do they bring all the food at once? I’m wondering if the food all stays nice and hot. It’s a lot of food so I don’t think I could eat it quickly.

I have always wanted to try artist pointe.

I’ve heard good things about the waves breakfast I’ve never been. I forgot there are buffet options that don’t involve the characters

I think I’d be worried about what the guy mentions in this how some of his meat was cold

All the food that should be hot has been when brought up initially. The vlogger probably spent a bit of time photo/videoing with metal covers off or just had bad luck.
No heat for the midnight/early morning leftovers though IF you can stand the wait you can nuke it at the microwave located in Capt. Cook's dining area ;).

We've done the Twilight Feast 3 different times not counting the time we purposely ordered it as take out for first night back home, LOL.

I should point out that we eat the food in any order we like and tend to mix the salad into the noodles.

That's true he probably was taking a lot of time before he got around to eating the meat. And if the dessert was still warm at the end I feel like the meat should have definitely stayed warm as well.
