Trying to decide when to go next year in November.

Choice between two weeks in November. We are trying to decide between November 7 -14th or November 14th -21. We went this year from November 15-21 and had a great time - our first trip as DVC members. Crowds were low we thought and loved that. The weather though - the first day we got there it was 82 and were told it had been that way the whole week prior - then the next morning it dropped 20 degrees and stayed in the 60's the whole trip. Maybe one week earlier next year will be warmer - maybe not. But, I know that there is Veterans day and Jersey week, so I am guess it will be much more crowded. We are from NY so our kids don't have the week off for either, but they would be missing one less day of school due to Veteran's day. So hard to decide, I have been thinking about since we got back and still can't decide. There is also the next week that we could go which would be Thanksgiving, but really don't want to go when it is that busy. Any advice? Want to book soon to take advantage of the 11 month window!

We always have traveled in November for the most part as well. This past November we lucked out because we got that warm weather you were talking about. There are advantages and disadvantages for each week. The first week in November is generally Jersey week as well as the last full week of the food and wine fest and depending of scheduling it could run into the SuperSoap weekend. So with this being said it does get crowded. This past November we went towards the end of Jersey week and caught the last couple days of the food and wine fest, crowds were manageable and the lines for the ride were almost non existant at night. As far as weather goes.....its always hit or miss in November so you truly can never tell. One last thing having the kids miss less school, vets day, helps........we also get what our school system calls an in service day which give our kids 2 days off. Good luck and have fun next November...........

Thanks for your input! This year our kids had the day of before Veteran's day too and one less day during Thanksgiving week. I don't know if they will stick to the same schedule next school year or not - wish there was a way to find out. So, Jersey week is actually the first week in November not the second week?

We went the first week in November this year. The crowds weren't totally out of control, but we did think it was a lot more crowded than we thought it would be. One of the guys at the DVC counter at the Polynesian said that it does get more crowded the last week of the Food & Wine Festival. The weather was pretty nice...pretty much in the 70's & low 80's all week, with very little rain.
