Hi all,

I am new here but have lurked for years....finally decided to sign up

We are going to DL Oct 26-30 and will be flying in to Orange County (John Wayne) airport... I think we are going to fly in the 25th and stay offsite and then check in to the Disneyland hotel on the 26th....

Which option should I use for tranport from the airport to the hotel?

a) Supershuttle
b) Disney express
c) taxi

any help is greatly appreciated!

How many are in your party? Supershuttle and Disney Express Bus charge per person and the taxi is a flat fee.

I have only flown into SNA once and took a cab. It was $35 to the GCH. I had to negotiate a flat fare on the return trip to the airport though. I like taking a cab because you don't have to worry about any other passengers and it will get you to your destination in the most expeditious manner.

Each has it's own pro's and con's

Supper shuttle, usually a van, they usually wait till it's full to take off from the airport, but that doesn't take long. Hope all your other passengers are going close to where you are and it can be a quick trip.

DL resort express, it is on a set schedule so often to you have to wait for it. It stops first at the DLR hotel and if you are staying off site the first night then you have a longer ride. Some times you have to get off at DLR and transfer to antoher bus. Works best is you are staying at DLH

There are 4 in the party... it looked to cost $80 for the super shuttle so $40 each way for a cab would work out..... I did the supershuttle the time we flew and I was not terribly impressed....

I hired a towncar from execucar on Supershuttle's website. We missed our connection in Salt Lake, so I called the car service and gave them our new flight information, we waited at the airport for 40 min before they showed up. They are supposed to be there when your flight lands and meet you in the baggage area with a little sign with your name on it. The return trip they were right on time. But I don't think I will go with them again, I will probably take a cab.

We used a taxi 2 years ago and plan to do so again this July. It is much cheaper than any of the other options and you can do it on your time frame, not others.

We just returned last week from DL and took a cab both ways to SNA. It was great. We had to negotiate for a flat rate from SNA to DLH for $35. On the way back to the airport, the bellman gave us a flat rate coupon good for one of the taxi companies that is at the DLH. That rate was for $36 return trip. It was just so wonderful to not have to wait for a shuttle - we were on our schedule. We had taken a Super Shuttle once, and this was not fun, or quick. I will take a cab next time too.
Have a fun trip!
