Since we didn't get to camping this year we would really like to go next year, I have always wanted to go to Disney once in my life to see the Christmas decorations. So are options are either Nov 5-11th or Nov 27-Dec 4. Again since my husband works in the grocery business he either has to go early before thanksgiving or after thanksgiving and early before Christmas. So any suggestions? We will also be staying in a tent. How are the crowds to?

My DW did all the arrangements. She wanted to see the Christmas decorations, so it was the week after Thanksgiving. We were also told that the crownds will be at a "lower level", not sure about that info?? We have been to WDW, but never to the Fort. We will be there from 11/21/11 thru 12/3/11. We are going to enjoy the Fort during Thanksgiving week then the parks the following week. Maybe we will see you sometime of the two weeks.

My vote would be for Nov 27 - Dec 3. If you have time check out the different resorts. The GF has a gingerbread house in the lobby. We were there last Dec. It was a lot of fun. The decorated sites at FW were amazing. When ever you go I am sure you will have a good time.

Since you have a choice, definately go after TG. All the decorations will be up by then.

Some of the main trees like at MK, Epcot, etc. usually aren't up in early Nov. plus you will get to see all the Santas & story tellers around Epcot if you wait until after.

I think we will probably go Nov 27- Dec 5th, The past two years we came down in September for two weeks, and my husbands manager said never again because the store fell apart with out him. :sad1: So I guess one week is better than no week. And I will just have to expect not heavy crowds but much larger than September. I just really enjoyed not being rushed to do things. But I have always wanted to go down for Christmas and see the decorations, but unfortunately with my custody agreement we have to swap. I just want to get out of there before Pop Warner comes to town lol

At least your husband has a job where his boss thinks of him as important to the orderly running of the place. I had a boss like that one time. He was reluctant to let me off for long periods of time, but I was able to get my schedule arranged to have every Monday off and some holidays (nice long weekends) with a week or so in the summer. Then I retired and got a NICE LONG weekend. Now I can't remember what day of the week it is unless I look at the newspaper. :confused3

It is pretty nice that his boss thinks that highly of him , I was taking those long week vacations so that we had time he never really has off for the holidays this will be the first year he has thanksgiving and Christmas off. He also works nights so he often puts in 14 hour days and then has to come home and sleep so its nice just to have those two weeks of just our family. Any time will do for our family.

I work as a part time meat cutter for a grocery store and Im up to my eyeballs in frozen turkeys right now but we just got back from our anual fall/winter trip to Disney. We always go the second week in November and all the decorations are up.
