Trying to decide my TS meals...please help

I think we will be doing Garden Grill.

How about Mama Melroses???? Would that be a better choice than 50's Primetime??? Food looks good at Mama.

Thanks.

I have been thinking about this a little more and wondering what you guys think.
Maybe we should drop Liberty Tree Tavern for one of the others?

I am 100% sure (I think) about: ::yes::
LeCellier(Epcot)-dinner
Capt N Jacks(DTD)-dinner
Concourse Steakhouse(Contemporary)-dinner
50's Prime Time Cafe(MGM)-dinner

Not sure about:
LTT(MK)
Coral Reef (Epcot)
Garden Grill (Epcot)
I am leaning to Coral Reef and Garden Grill but then I have 3 places in Epcot to eat. I guess that isn't a big deal cause it won't be a big problem getting back there. I really liked both of them last time we were there.

Thanks for the help!

Just my .02...we ate at LTT for the first time our last trip. It was a hit for our family. Food was delicious and character interaction was great :thumbsup2 Got some wonderful pics of DH and DD with Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Chip&Dale.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I am ever going to be able to decide.
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

There is no way my husband is going to get up and do a buttercup dance. Only way he would do that is if he had WAY too much to drink. lol How embarissing for your husband. What is a buttercup dance anyway?
They do that kind of stuff at 50's Primetime too? I don't mind a little fun but being forced to get up and do something silly is not my idea of fun.

Well, at WCC they make all of the men get up and form a circle around the restaurant. Then they have to do some dance like a ballerina while singing this buttercup song. Maybe others can elaborate because I don't really remember since DH didn't do it. At 50s Prime Time, the waiter will feed you your green beans if you do not eat them. If you have your elbows on the table they may scold you. IF you go to the bathroom the waiter may ask you what color the soap is and if you do not know he will send you back to wash your hands and announce it in front of the restaurant. They may make you stand in the corner if you "do something bad." Now, I haven't been to 50s Prime Time because of my lame family, but this is what I have read from others.

I think I will mention these things to my husband and see what he thinks. lol
The stuff at 50's Prime Time doesn't sound too horrible. But making guys get up and dance is a little much. My husband might suprise me. The magic :wizard: could overcome him. lol
Thanks for the great info!

We will be in Disney second week in December for 6 nights/7days. I have a list of where I would like to try some are 100% sure others not sure. Any opinions are appreciated. We are using the dining plan. 2 adults, no kids (our kids have 4 legs and fur)

Here they are:
100% sure, I think =)
LeCellier-Epcot- lunch or dinner?
Liberty Tree Tavern-MK character dinner
Capt N Jacks-DTD dinner? ( I like the idea of not being able to make a ADR cause I kinda hate having to make all these ADRs, feel like being pinned down to a strict schedule, and I have heard good food, including lobster)
50's Primetime Cafe-MGM lunch or dinner?
Whispering Canyon Cafe (WL-where we are staying)- b,l or d?

Not 100% sure about:
Concourse Steakhouse-Contemporary- dinner
The Garden Grill-Epcot- lunch or dinnner? (have eaten here before and really liked it-2001)
Coral Reef-Epcot-lunch or dinner? (also eaten here before and liked)

Had thought about Boma but then realized by looking at some of the reviews and closer at the menu that I am too picky of eater to try it.
Don't know if we should avoid ones we have done to try new ones?
Please help. Thanks!!!!!!

I've done 50s Prime Time twice for lunch and it was delish!

I've done Whispering Canyon 3 times for dinner and once for lunch- it's so great! I recommend dinner if you have children- more action at dinner time!

I don't think you should base on where you go somewhere for how to get the most bang for your dining plan buck- go where you want to go, when you want to go! We did the dining plan this last trip and we did table service for lunch 2-3 times and I didn't feel like I wasn't maximizing my table service credits....plus then I felt like I could walk off a bit off that lunch in the afternoon! LOL!

Thanks for the advice. I think we may do some for lunch. Besides, if you look at the prices you will still get your moneys worth at lunch too. I don't want all the "big" meals at night. I would like to split them up some.
Our kids have 4 legs and fur so they won't be joining us on the WDW trip. I don't think my cats would like Mickey too much. lol Don't think the dogs would like him either. No offense to the mouse. lol :lmao:
Have a great weekend everyone!!!! IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just bumping this up to see if I can get any more input.
This is really hard picking the TS rests. Maybe I am making this more difficult than it really should be.

I had booked WCC because of the things I read here on the Dis. I so looked forward to seeing DH do the buttercup, but alas, the only thing they did that night was the pony races for the kids. However, WCC was one of our favorite meals, the skillet was awesome. Our server was fun and went over and above to meet our needs. We are returning to WCC on our next trip because we enjoyed it so much.

Here are my final choices. Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of those. Sounds like a nice place to eat and we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so it makes sense to eat there.
These will all be for dinner, that works better for us. I like a nice breakfast have a little something to tide me over later in the day then have a nice dinner.

LeCellier
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Garden Grill
Liberty Tree Tavern
Concourse Steakhouse
50's Prime Time Cafe

Hopefully now all I need to do is wait until June (I think) for the parks calendars to be released and wait for SW to release flights for December so I can see if we will fly or drive.

Thanks for starting this thread! I really need to get started on my ADRs for our trip in August. I think I'm procrastinating, because once I have my park days picked out and my ADRs in place, what will I do for the next 5 months??

It looks like your list is very similar to ours. We took our boys to WDW last summer for the first time and the trip was really all about the parks and not so much about food, relaxing and exploring. I'm trying to plan a very different vacation for this summer and part of it will be about food. We're doing the dining plan too. Last year, the only real meals we did were the Hoop De Doo Revue, Chef Mickeys for breakfast and Crystal Palace for dinner. We loved all 3 places. We celebrated my youngest son's birthday while there and he got special birthday treatment at all 3 places.

So far, my list includes LeCellier, Whispering Canyon, Liberty Tree Tavern, Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic package), Crystal Palace (great opportunity to see those friends from the 100 Acre Woods), Chef Mickeys and Big River Grille (we're staying at BWV and DH loves his beer, so we can't pass a brewery. Who am I kidding? I love my beer too and can't pass a brewery).

Any suggestions? Substitutions? Should I take out a character meal or switch to another one? I thought about the Cape May breakfast, instead of Chef Mickeys.

We're arriving on a Sunday afternoon and we're trying to make our plans for that evening. I've considered making an ADR for LeCellier for that night to get our vacation off to a good start, followed by Illuminations, but I've heard such great things about LeCellier that I'm afraid everything will be a disappointment after eating there. So my other thought was to explore the Boardwalk for a while, eat at the Big River Grille and then walk to Epot for Illuminations. Any ideas??

This thread has been very helpful to me. Don't worry, I don't think there is any way to run out of stuff to try and research and plan. I feel so relieved to have those TS rests. picked out! I was really starting to panic over all this planning!
Good luck!!! :wave2:
