On our first day in I was thinking of doing Disney Springs and the Star Wars VR stuff with my 15 year old son.

He is a picky eater (chicken fingers, burgers, and fries). I am more adventurous and not against a drink with supper.

I am trying to decide between The Edison and Homecomin’.

It will be on June 30th so I expect crowds.

Definitely appreciate any comments on both to help decide which to do.

Thanks

I have eaten at Homecomin' twice and the Edison once (about 3 weeks ago). After I ate at Homecomin' the first time, I was WOWED! There was a lot of hype to this restaurant and I just thought people were exaggerating, but they weren't. I dreamed both at night and had day dreams of the chicken, biscuits, deviled eggs, and hush puppies! I'm not joking either. We went back there a few months later and the food was just as yummy, and I can't wait until July when I can go again.

As for the Edison, the atmosphere has a really cool vibe and the food is fine. I was not wowed at all but my food was fine. I had the chicken, my friend had the burger (she said it was good), and my husband had the meatloaf (which he enjoyed). We also got the bacon (good but only 4 pieces) and the deviled eggs (very mustardy). We all agreed the food was tasty and we left satisfied but none of us would be rushing to get back. Maybe we would go back for a drink and appetizers.

If your son is picky eater he would probably be fine at both restaurants. Personally I would pick Homecomin'.

Can't help on either, just checking in/subscribing on some of the answers that pop up....I've read good things about both, but as the pp just stated, I think the nod would go to Homecoming....At least from what I've seen or heard..:confused3 And Now I can't get that Fried chicken outta my Head...Thanks..

I just left Art's Homecoming and highly recommend it! You definitely get your money worth, we actually left with food as the portions are big. We ordered the fried chicken dinners, mashed potatoes, cheddar biscuit, mac n cheese, collard greens, hummingbird cake, hush puppies, sweet tea moonshine, and moonshine margarita. I'm very picky about southern food, and this was the best I've had outside of my own kitchen.

The negative is, it's unhealthy so if you normally eat healthy you will feel like crap afterwards, I became very tired & sleepy as I'm not use to such a fattening heavy meal. I can't wait to return though!

I would definitely take a picky eater to Homecomin' to eat and I would go to Edison for drinks, apps, and dessert.
