Trying to Convince my Hubby DVC is for us...

Trying to convince my hubby we should buy into DVC and not having much luck I am afraid.

Planning on staying 5 nights Nov. 09 and hoping to do DVC tour and hopefully the combination of both will win him over.

Now which resort would you choose.

We had dinner last visit at the steak house at the Yacht Club and loved it. So I am thinking of staying 5 nights at BCV.

DVC will be an investment for when its just me and hubby on our own and kids will be off doing their own thing.

However we will have 4 kids with us next visit. I love the look of AKV but the lady in Re Sales tried to put me off saying it was too far away from everything. But too far away from what. We will have a car. We have previously stayed in a Villa so I regarded that as pretty far out

AKV is still being sold through Disney, and with the incentives, it costs not much more through Disney than you would end up paying on the resale market, with higher closing costs and such. Your "ownership" period is longer with AKV, since it is a newer property. Put pencil to paper before going resale on AKV. You can save a good bit on some of the other properties on the resale market. If AKV has the ambience you like, don't let an agent dissuade you.

I feel your pain . I too am trying to convince DH that DVC is the right thing for us We just came back from the tour & let me tell you the AKVs will be beautiful! If you have a car I don't think the location is an issue unless you really prefer to be near MK or Epcot. I have not seen the inside of any of the others (except SSR on the tour), but I've toured the BVW & BCV area & those also look great, at least from the outside. We just completed a stay at WL & I'd love to stay in a 1BR there too. The problem is just too many choices!

If you come up with a convincing argument for your DH let me know. Maybe I can use the same one on mine!

I just hope if I keep chipping away at him I will eventually wear him down.

Just had a thought. Might do two nights at AKV and 3 nights at BCV.
