We are debating these three dates- last week in February, first week in March (1-8), and the first week in May. Does anyone have an opinion on the crowds, weather, etc? We have been in January - no crowds but a bit cold and the last week of April - again light crowds but much warmer. We have two small children 6 and 2 1/2. We know this is Disney and crowds are expected but we are a bit spoiled from the low crowds of our other trips. Any thoughts are appreciated!

I would go the first week of May. Spring breaks are over and school is not yet out for the summer. It will be warm but I dont think it will be to hot yet.
Last week of Feb may have the presidents week crowd there. And schools start Spring break in March and that usually last through April--or atleast the first couple of weeks of April. You also have to factor in Easter crowds.

No question...MAY. We have been several different times of the year and our best trip ever was in May. The crowds were prettty low and the weather was perfect. It's nice when it's a little warm so you can really enjoy the pool, beach, water rides, etc.

I would strongly advise against going the first week of March. That is the beginning of peak season, and while it may not be busy the first few days, by the end of the week it will seem as though the entire northern hemisphere has suddenly descended upon the World! The first week of May, on the other hand, is usually quite a pleasant time to go! It is the middle of the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot, so the atmosphere (there at least!) is fairly calm. As for temperatures... they can get into the 80s easily. You may have to watch out for rain, though.
