Trying to Cancel Sep. free dining package to change to November arrival.....

I was just on the phone with a CM trying to modify my reservations from September to November. I was told that since airfare was included in my September package I will be out my entire $200.00 deposit since that's the only money I've put down on the September package.

HOLY COW - when I booked the CM didn't tell me the airfare was non-refundable, nor did I have to pay the entire airfare which I see sometimes.

I thought penalties were assessed only when you hit 44 days BEFORE your arrival.

Now I'm out $200.00 and have to put down another $200.00 for a vacation package in November - can't do it - that's a lot of money to me to be out.

Is this right???????????

I called back and got a really nice CM, Bill, who MODIFIED my original reservation to the November dates that I wanted. I didn't loose my $200.00 either and the airfare was not non-refundable like I was told the first time.

Moral of this story: If your getting information from a CM that you think is not right, it probably isn't. Call back and talk to another CM.

Just triple check to make sure. I know you can choose changeable / refundable airfare, but sometimes once you click the buy it button, even thru WDW it's non refundable. Glad it sounds like yours was!!!
