Trying to book BBB@MK and having trouble.

Okay, have we gotten EXTREMELY lucky the last 5 trips we have taken (May 2009, Oct. 2010, Nov. 2012, Sep. 2014) or what is going on? LOL I called to make DD reservations for January 7 at MK. We have done DTD and MK and just prefer MK for BBB. CM said they were booked for ALL available times but could do DTD. I asked her to check another date, January 8. She said the same thing and told me that there was NO WAY we were getting MK BBB reservations until at least January 10.......was pretty snotty, and then added that "mothers are on the phone immediately to get these reservations."

I realize it's popular. We got lucky for a walk-up on our first visit in May of 2009 and made sure to have reservations before we went to each trip after. But we have done 2 BBB visits each of the following trips and NEVER had an issue. I told her this (which I usually wouldn't even bother because if it's booked, it's booked....but she was sooooo hateful! LOL).

So has anything changed since our trip last September? Have we just been super lucky to always get not only the date/time we wanted but to get 2 reservations each trip, no problems at all? Anyone think maybe more will become available later for some reason? ANY thoughts? LOL

I couldn't get a MK appt either. They only had one appt left and it was in DTD. I took it so we'd have something!! The CM suggested I call back a couple of months before our trip to try again. I've called multiple times with no luck but I'll keep trying.

I had the same problem and I booked as soon as I could. In fact I booked so long ago that the DTD (all I could get) reservation no longer works for us. Le sigh...

So strange! I knew we weren't likely to get a walk-up like our first trip ever again, but to have nothing at all seems so strange to me this far out, especially when I easily got BOG, CRT and everything else we wanted at the times/days we wanted.

It wouldn't have been a bug deal, but it was like the CM's tone and attitude (which I never have experienced either) was like take DTD or you get nothing and I'm not looking for any other days! She can't know if someone recently cancelled, etc without looking.

That is frustrating!
We haven't had any problems securing it on this trip or our last (Or at DLR inside the park not DTD) inside MK, we are doing 2 as well. TBH I assumed that if you called at 180 days you would get something just maybe not the perfect time.
I thought that time (mid Jan) was meant to be pretty quite. Any chance it is going down for some sort of refurb that the phone CM didn't know about or think to mention?
Admittedly we tried booking CG at 180+10 (for mid Nov) at 6 am then by phone at 7am and had no luck-I really couldn't believe it would already be fully booked.

That is a bummer and slightly curious too! Although we travel at busier times calling first thing at our 180 day mark I've always been able to snag BBB appointments for my two girlies. They are too old now though .

I would call back every week and keep checking and when my trip got closer I might even call every day. People's plans change and you might just be able to snag something! If that doesn't work ask your resort concierge to check for you when you check in and check at BBB as early in the day as you can on your MK days.

I find it quite odd that there is nothing available nearly 6 months out. It makes me very suspicious there is something else going on. Maybe they don't even have the times loaded yet. There should be at least some bad times available, not just nothing. CM's are notorious for saying things are all booked (like ADRs) when something has held up the loading of the times. This happened to us with CRT once. If I hadn't kept checking, I would not have even known when the times were finally loaded.

Well we are tecnically going when schools are in.. but live overseas and still have óur break..are you thanksgiving week? thenI can see alot of families going.

It does seem really odd that you couldn't get ANY times for the dates you were looking at. We've done BBB 3 times now and had no issues getting an appt. We've even added another princess to our ressie the day of because she was a last minute add to our trip. I would call back. Good Luck!

This. I can't believe that all reservations would already be gone for January at nearly 6 months out. If it were 6 months for an October MNSSHP day, I could maybe see it, but not for January. Keep trying, I bet its not available in their system yet.

Same here, I called a couple weeks ago and had no trouble getting back-to-back reservations for my kids early afternoon in early Sept. I would keep calling.

It happened to me too; but it’s a halfway busy week and it was 4.5 months out not 6 like usual. Nothing at MK any day. I took the appointment at DTD; but have since cancelled the trip for another reason. Not as comfortable with the children missing school as I thought; so we are going in March. She’s still be 12; so I’m going to be on the phone at 7 on day 180 and hope for the best. This is going to be her last chance at BBB so I really want it to be at the castle.

I called around 9 Disney time and was able to get the date AND time I wanted, no problem! Spoke to the kindness CM this time and I was able to book the rest of our dining and Pirate's league and get every day/time I requested!

I hate to accuse, but it was almost like the CM from last night wanted me to feel LUCKY to get ANY BBB at any time at any day and when I said DTD wouldn't work for us this trip......she refused to look at any other dates! She only checked the first date I requested and said DTD would be all I could get until after the 10th. Incidentally, she had looked at our resort reservations and saw we check out on the 10th. Hmmm...

Kind of makes me feel like they aren't getting enough readies at DTD so they are trying to fill those spots first.
