Trying to be grateful but am feeling hateful.

Do I sound ungrateful or am I justified in my anger?
I will never understand why people feel they need validation from other people in order to feel justified in how they are feeling. You feel what you feel. Period.

Regarding how you get past the anger, the best advice I have is the same advice given to me -

Anger only hurts one person: you
Hatred only hurts one person: you
Bitterness only hurts one person: you

Try to put your situation in that light and see if you don't want to stop hurting yourself. You have no control over Ex Husband. You have no control over his job situation. The only control you have is how you are going to choose to react to the situation.
