Trying Not to Panic

Hey Everyone! I'm in need of some advice/guidance. Here's my dilemma:

When I went to book our annual stay at the Wilderness Lodge using the 30% off Spring Discount, I was horrified to see that it showed no availability for our dates May 31-June 10. (I've been booking the approximate same dates at the same time of year with NO problems for the previous 4 years.) I could get a room with a full price package, but that cost was about $1500 more than our trip last year. I'd rather not.

Now, I know that I can still book the discount with other resorts, but before I abandon all hope of staying at our beloved Wilderness Lodge, is there any possibility that other discounts during our desired dates will open up?

Any words of advice/knowledge/experience would be greatly appreciated.

I would go ahead and book another resort and keep checking everyday to see if WL opens up. Also - try to modify your dates if you are willing to do a split stay so maybe you can stay there a couple of day - worst case scenario. Don't give up!

Try looking through orbitz. Use review15 code for extra 15% off (in addition to spring discount). Had to get an extra day for our trip- no availability thru Disney but orbitz had rooms

You may try dropping one day at the front or the back and see what happens - some people not that with discounts. May be some group, etc. booked in the resort at the same time frame and it doesn't open up rooms until the next day.

You could do one night at another resort and move over, and still get to stay at WL. Worth a try!

As PP recommended, go to Orbitz. Use promo code "TRAVELHAPPY." I just checked your dates, and they have 9 room categories at WL available to book - at the spring discounted price Disney is offering plus an extra 15% off.

When you book through Orbitz, be aware that you can't modify the dates, so be sure of what you need before the rooms run out. (You can cancel - online! - but can't add or subtract days like you can if you book through Disney.) If you think you might need 1 day extra before or after, just book that separately.

I did it!!! Booked through Orbitz, used a 15% off discount in addition to the Disney discount, added my son, and got the 12 digit confirmation code to link to MDE. Thanks so much for all the advice. It definitely allowed us to book another stay at the Wilderness Lodge while saving us money. (I'm actually shocked at how much.)
