We have stayed at POR, POFQ, OKW and SSR. We have walked through the values and the food courts there. I have been given a tour of CBR.

I don't know if I should just keep going back to what I know I works for our family or venture out and try something new?

I like to try different resorts. But I still have our favorites this year I wanted to try the Dolphin because we got a great rate but after thinking long and hard we said lets just go to our favorite (P.O.F.Q.). It's what we like best and we have never had a bad stay there yet. I don't think I was much help. Sorry.

we always stay at different resorts. disney offers such cool resorts, i would like to try them all! it gives you vacation a different feel each trip.

It's hard to branch out when you enjoy a place - but you have already branched out :thumbsup2 . Sounds as though it has worked for you. I would keep trying new resorts! Have you considered AKL? It is amazing. Incredibly unique.

I just feel so relaxed at OKW at POR. It is the mature landscaping and room to breath. We just love taking the boat to DTD on our relax evenings. POFQ was just too tight and small. It always seem busy to me. SSR is huge!!! But it just wasn't right for us.

I am booked again at POR but wonder if something new would be in order? I think next year we will try AKL on points.

I don't want to stay at a deluxe until we have discount code so POR for free dining seems to work. I keep reading about CSR and toy with the idea of a monorail resort....but cost!

Our first stay on property was at CBR; the following year we did the BC; after that, it was the WL; then the Poly this past September :goodvibes. Now the Poly and the WL are our 2 favorite resorts and we don't see ourselves trying any others :rolleyes1. Don't get me wrong.....we loved CBR and BC; we just like the WL and Poly a little more :). We always thought the GF would be nice to try, but the victorian theme just doesn't appeal to us :sad2:. So we have no problem sticking with our 2 favorites because we know what we like at each one and are very happy with them ::yes::. So there's nothing wrong with sticking with what you know works for your family :cutie:. Some people like trying something different each trip; others stick with what they like and know ;).

We like to do split stays if we have 7 or more nights. We have returned to resorts we love and added new ones, and mixed it with new/new also. We always save the larger room for the last half, just much nicer than the other way around. We have also scheduled our parks according to locations this way before too ( not so much now, but in the early years)when at the Dolphin we hit Studios and Epcot, monorail resorts we hit MK more obviously. It was really helpful for dining. I think our favorite split was ASMU/CR...one extreme to the other, totally different theming...like to me, WL anfd POR would be too similar to each other, or CBR/POLY...I would also like to try CSR...almost did on our last trip, but did POP/POLY instead on Free DDP. Our kids love the value food courts, so that is the main thing hoding us back from adding CSR to the list now...well, that and $$$$ to go at all!
Have a great trip!

I think it is just a matter of personal preference. We have stayed at four different resorts, but we have now found our "second home" at the Coronado and probably will always stay there (unless we win the lotto and we can afford a savannah view at athe Animal Kingdom Lodge). We are very comfortable with the CSR and the things it offers.
