EverQuest, one of the largest and most in-depth MMORPGs of all time, is celebrating it's 11th anniversary on March 16th.

Starting on the 16th, for 11 days you can get a special anniversary pack online. It contains the first 15 expansions (everything but the most current--and that's targeted towards top-end players), several free in-game items, and all new subscribers get a free 30 days of play time. It's also only $2.50.

EverQuest was the first fully 3-D MMORPG, and was the inspiration for games like World of Warcraft (the 3 guys who designed WoW met through EQ). It still has a very active community and continues to develop and distribute content that is competitive with todays games.

Last year, video game guru Jace Hall produced a documentary celebrating the 10th anniversary of EQ. It's a fun and funny look at the development and future of EQ.

Here's the link to part 1 (it's a 5 part special).

The game has come a long way since 1999, and here's an example of thier most current zones..

www.eqplayers.com is their main webpage. I've you've played WOW and others but never tried EQ, for only $2.50 you cant go wrong :thumbsup2

And if you do decide to try, look me up on the Maelin Starpyre server. I play Innania (level 85 enchanter) and Innamien (level 85 magician).
