True Colors

I heard they changed the pre-show for HISTA - and they no longer have true colors.

I hope it isn't true, but then again, Disney is always changing - which is a good thing!

I guess I'm alone in this, but I really like True Colors! I'm not really a 'crier' (sp?) but that always chokes me up!

Sorry, gang, but I guess I'd be pretty happy if it was gone. I think it was nice, don't get me wrong. But for some reason, it really wore out it's welcome with me pretty quickly. It got to the point where we'd try to arrive late for HISTA so that we didn't have to sit through it again! Best to arrive just in time to hear Eric Idle say "Welcome, welcome, welcome!"

There are lots of things we do at WDW over and over that don't have this effect. I can hear "Yo ho" all day long, or even the dreaded "Small World!"

"True Colors" has indeed been replaced by a much more Kodak oriented (IMO) pre-show. Still all standing but with several plasma monitors rather than the large video wall. It was okay but I will miss "True Colors." I guess I'll just have to see American Vybe more often if I want to hear that song.

I was in the grocery store the other day and I heard True Colors, I almost started crying.

That is so unfortunate that they took the song out I'm leavin tomorrow so I'll post what I think of the new one, but rejoice in this: you can find the song on some of Phil Collins' albums- I didn't know he originally recorded it, but I was ecstatic when I heard it on my Phil Collins' Greatist Hits cd

We LOVE the True Colors preshow!!!! ALWAYS brought on a wet eye or two.

Last year when our whole family went, I actually asked the CM how long until the next preshow because I was willing to wait so we could see it in it's entirety. He goofed and we 1/2 of it. Darn!!! I do have some of the audio that someone recorded (from their camcorder sound). I guess that will have to do.

I don't what's worse, knowing ahead of time that something you loved has changed or finding out when you get there.

Oh Boy!! My whole family LOVES the True Colors preshow, and they will not be happy campers when they find out it has been replaced!
Thankfully last year, we somehow managed to tape it on our camcorder, so we have a permanent record of it!

As a kid I can say that True Colors isnt something that children enjoy, its more as an adult thing and I get really bored watching it, the slanted area that you have to stand while watchin it doesnt make it any easier.

I loved true colors. I thought Cyndi Lauper was the singer I remember doing it on the radio in the 80's. Don't know if she was the original performer or not. I would love to hear the Phil Collins version!

Cyndi Lauper didn't sing the HISTA preshow. It was someone else.
