Thanks so much OP for this post. I went to our Toys R Us tonight and was able to use the 20% off of $75 coupon and the $5 off of $25. The two coupons saved me almost $30. The games were still BOGOF so I rebought the ones from last week to get the additional 20% off. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Thanks also for sharing!!! I thankfully had my nieces and nephew's wish lists for Christmas already, so this was great! I hit TRU tonight, and with all of the sales on the items I was buying (clothes & toys), plus the 2 coupons, my total savings was $91. Even the store manager was impressed by how much I got for what I paid! (And she even offered the friends and family coupon to me before I'd presented it!) They gave me no problems, and it's a relief to have some good shopping under my belt!

I was told last night by our toys r us that the coupon was going to be carried over into the weekend, since the code on it was printed wrong. I saved over 90+ last night using the coupon and the buy 1 get 1 free games. They also said the games would also stay on sale through the weekend. We shall see

The right code now has a 6 at the end of it instead of the 5. This is the coupon for the 20% off. I am going to try and use it on line. I tried it also and got the same message. I have no idea when it will start. I was just posting what I was told. I edited my post above so no one else will go through and have the same problem I will keep trying and will post if and when it goes through.

I asked the sales assoc last night if they were going to run it again in the future before Christmas. She said they usually have 2 before Christmas, so probably. I'm going to try a different TRU and see if the coupon still works.

I just confirmed the same with my store. That gives me a few days to assess if I need anything else!

(The associate that answered the phone hadn't heard anything about it, but she checked with the manager, and indeed, it had been extended. Happy shopping!)

Last night I called our TRU and was told they would not honor the coupon. I called this morning and the manager said they most certainly would. Yeah, Yeah. I just saved $48 on my order.

I actually got a friends/family coupon from a TRU associate 2 weeks ago. My son was participating in the "Yu-gi-oh" competition, which he loves. I was speaking with this associate about something, and right in the middle of our conversation, she busted these 2 kids trying to shoplift Yu-gi-oh cards.

She gave them a stern talking to and let them go. She then told me that the kids stealing the cards was costing the store more money than it was making. I told her my son really looked forward to this event, and I didn't want to let these 2 bad apples spoil it for the rest of the kids (really good kids too) so I bought the ripped open packs.

She thought that was really nice of me and offered me a coupon. I couldn't have been more grateful!

I used it on Monday and saved over $80.00!

I wanted to thank the PP who listed the link for the $5 off coupon too. Didn't find this until today (friends/family coupon no good as of today) but will use it for the day after Thanksgiving shopping THANKS!!!

I have to order from TRU because they are too far! So I tried using the code online and it said it was expired. I called Amazon rep as I could not get through to TRU and they said you need to get the new code from the employee that originally gave it to you. So I am unsure if I will be able to get this discount unless someone else posts the new 20% code. Anyone else have any luck? Thanks

said they will not honor either coupon - ugh! They said it has to be the one given to you by an associate. How the heck can they tell? How disappointing.

Similar experience in Langhorne, PA, but the Manager took it anyway. He actually called "Loss Prevention" who told him to honor the coupon.
