You only have a window of opportunity for a little girl, and since this is my only granddaughter, I really want to give her the AG doll...so so pretty.
Just love girl toys...and then I have 4 grandsons under age 6...that little girl is outnumbered!!!

Yes, especially now when little girls are forced to grow up so fast. My DD told me the other day she is the only little girl in her class who plays with/has Barbies

I know she isn't the only one in third grade...her BFF's both play Barbies and I'm glad she can have regular playdates with them. They also love the AG stuff and I induldge DD in that, as well. We have several pieces of furniture, the horse, and probably far too many outfits but like you said she is only little once. I, personally, hope she and her friends are like me and my friends and play with dolls until Jr High. It makes me sad to see all these little girls at school dressed up like 16 year olds, wearing makeup, talking about wanting cellphones and such for Christmas.
I also only have the one girl which makes it hard for me to ration what I buy. I also have 2 boys and (shhh) they aren't nearly as much fun to buy for LOL I just can't get excited over an xbox game or hotwheels, though I do enjoy seeing them get excited over them. I'm trying my best to keep them "young and innocent" too and that is JUST as hard. My youngest is in kindergarten and is getting playdoh, possibly some playmobil, dress up outfits, etc.. for Christmas and he loves those things/asks for them but many of his buddies only one the latest and greatest sports equipment for the next "travel league" they play in or they want things older boys want like ipod touches, phiten necklaces, atv's and CELL PHONES. Tons of them have Facebook, too, with adult friends

But then they come over and play with DS and use his "baby" things and they love them. I just think the parents are pushing them a bit hard, I try not to.
If I thought DD would even play occasionally with the sleigh I'd probably get it but those sorts of things typically don't get play in our house. She is like I was and wants very "realistic" things and a sleigh with no snow would bother her

It's called OCD dear *sigh* I kind of want it for myself though, I am reliving my very "spoiled" and happy childhood through her
