Trouble with iron-ons ink running?

Have any of you ever had a problem with the ink running off the iron ons? I made each of us an iron on t-shirt to wear on our trip to the World last week. They looked really great, and I was so proud of them, but then when my husband got the front of his shirt a little damp Tigger's stripes started to run all over the place. Both the girls' shirts did the same thing, mainly where there was black in the design. I used the dark transfer material, the brand they sell at Hobby Lobby, Transfer Magic was the name I believe. I followed the directions in the package. My husband & one of the girl's shirts are pretty much ruined, because the runny ink stained the shirt. The other two shirts are salvaged. It was really dissapointing! :sad1:

Oh, I also made Mickey tie-dye shirts - these turned out GREAT! I will try to post picture of them over on that thread.

I've not had that problem with the Avery paper that I buy at Walmart. I've never tried the Hobby Lobby paper.

I used the Avery dark paper without any problems also. I haven't tried the other brand, but I think I'll stick with what I know works.

I'm sorry that your shirts were ruined.

I had the same problem withthe dark paper I bought on e-bay that was recommended on this thread. The red on my border ran when it got wet.

for dark shirts? Would absolutely die if the colors ran. I still have the receipt, please let me know if anyone has had problems with these. Thanks.
