Glen (13) has been out playing footie with friends tonight. When it was time to ride his bike home he found he'd parked it on a wasps nest. He rang home and DH had to cover up and go and rescue Glen, friends and bike. He covered himself head to foot in waterproofs which tied tightly around his face (only eyes exposed) but covered his eyes with goggles. I missed the event as I was at work, but when I got home Glen only had 2 stings, he looked so sorry for himself until I got the anti sting cream out then he made a miraculous recovery. Have to laugh now but it could have been nasty, apparently John had to get on the bike and ride away quickly as the wasps were following him!!!

Wow a lucky escape

Oh I hate Wasps, they are one of my biggest fears, I think I might have just fainted there and then :sad2:

He was very lucky. I used to keep bees and would always wear all my protective gear when I saw to them, I was doing a demonstration of bee keeping once when they swarmed and somehow managed to get inside my boiler suit, net and hat, I had to run amongst the trees taking my clothes off until they were all free :lmao: I didn't get stung once but had to live down the embarassment of my streak for years to come.

I think you should see if you can get some luck to rub off onto you. ;)
