I have been a DVC member for over 10 years and an annual passholder that long as well. I say this because I started trying to make a reservation last night for one night this coming January and have NEVER experienced so much trouble.
To begin with I found one room with a passholder rate 12/14 and added a 2 day hopper for my DH. then I started trying to buy it. After three separate tries with credit cards I pay off each month I kept getting error messages saying my purchase didn't go through. So I chatted. Chat person said cards get 'stuck" sometimes and suggested another browser. I tried IE which of course froze up which is why i nver use it. Then I tried firefox which also didn't work. So this morning I tried again from my telephone. Also didn't work so then I called.
The first card did not work - i gritted my teeth and gave a second card. This one went through. Of course I now needed to do a separate purchase for the hopper - couldn't do it all together because it was not a package. So we did the second purchase. Cast member said he would email confirmation for the resort but it did not arrive. The confirmation for the card arrived. So I decided to call to get the confirmation number and was on hold for 15 minutes. Then they could not find the reservation. I am now sitting on hold again while the cast member tries to find my ressie. What in the world is going on with Disney?
