Trouble falling asleep!!!

I have been staying up till like... 4 in the morning trying to fall asleep for the past 2 weeks.
Any suggestions on how to fall asleep.:confused3
 
Hmm.. you could try counting continuously..
For some reason that seems to always work for me. haha
 
Usually when I have a hard time sleeping, I put a movie in and watch that until I just can't stay up anymore and fall asleep. But I also have a tendency to stay up until about 3 in the morning or later (I think the latest I've ever stayed up is 5 am) on weekends and over the Summer. I'm a major night person. :rolleyes:

During the school year I'll literally lay in bed and start counting in my head. Eventually I'll bore myself to death and fall asleep. You could read a book or drink something warm, like hot chocolate or cider. That may help a bit as well.

When I can't fall asleep I just lay there and think, and I take a nap after school. And during the summer I just sleep in late.
It's no big deal since I'm used to it.

I wouldn't really worry about it. Just take a nap later on in the day or just lay down and watch a movie or something.

I usually lay in bed and listen to my i-pod with the volume down low.
It usually puts me to sleep.
 
Put on some relaxing music. That works for me.
I have a sleep mix on my iPod, and whenever I put that on, I'm out in 5 minutes. Even if I'm really awake.
 
If you're stressed or always thinking about something, then that could be your problem, write down everything on your mind on a paper.
If that's not your problem, then there's other things you can try...
Only use your bed for sleeping, do nothing else in it.
Stop looking at your clock, just turn it around.
Go to bed at the same time, and wake up at the same time every day, don't sleep in cause it's gonna **** up your sleeping habits.
Try drinking a glass of warm milk and honey before bed, and if you want a light snack about 15 minutes before you go to bed.
Don't use an alarm clock to wake up, if you need to get up early, go to bed at a reasonable time.
If you can't fall asleep in unter half an hour, read something really boring, or do something that bores you, then go back and lie down.
Exercise during the day, not right before you go to bed.
If you REALLY need help falling asleep, go to a health store and buy a bottle of melatonin, it makes you go to sleep, do some reaserch on it first though, and talk to the pharmacist about it too so they can recommend a dose for you.
Listen to quiet classical music to relax you for 30 minutes before bed, then while you sleep play meditation and yoga music on repeat, you can buy CDs of them at any music store.

When I couldn't fall asleep~ I always used to think about Nick Jonas, and make up stories (of how I could meet him and stuff). I don't do that as much anymore, but I think it's a good way to fall asleep. Another thing, is to think of stories about you and your best friends, and try to do that too. I do that now, more than think about my crush! LOL! Well, there ya go, I hope that helps a little bit.

Stay up for one entire day. Then go to sleep at like 8 or 9. You will wake up early and get back on your schedule.

Thats what I do.

omg i do that i think about my crush and the cute things he does before i go to sleep. i also make up stories about me and him in my head like romantic things he could do :love:

Hehe how cute!

Usually when I can't sleep, I try counting first. Then I put in a movie and usually that makes me fall asleep eventually. And sometimes I get back up, and play games like solitaire on the computer and try again.

Try everything until you find something that works!
 
I listen to my Ipod.
But not any dance songs.
It works for me
 
I drink sleepytime tea. I forgot who its by but you can find it in virualy and store. It helps.
