Tropical Storm Erica

One of our best trips (out of more than 20) to WDW was during a tropical storm. There was no thunder--just heavy rain--and we strapped on our ponchos and headed to the parks. Lines were non existent and we were able to ride whatever we wanted to as long as we were willing to brave the rain between rides.

Sometimes on rides, as was the case with Dumbo. We were in elephants ankle deep in water but there was nobody else on the ride and we laughed the entire time.

It actually was disappointing when the rain stopped and all of the fair weather Disney fans emerged from their rooms to mess up our park time.

We are staying at POP and just returned to our room--- there was a VM from the hotel/front desk regarding Erica--- just said they will keep us updated

Yeap, the whole storm fell apart last night and this morning. However there is a lot of rain and moisture still throughout the whole area. Just a good example that you can never trust what a storm will do, whether a hurricane. Northern or otherwise.

So everyone has something to think about, there is another disturbed area (99) just off the coast or Africa. Something to follow in 2 weeks or so.

I went that weekend. It didn't rain the whole time. In fact the weather was great! It was like the eighties with a breeze.
