Hi All,

We now have the first Tropical Storm of the 2005 season - Arlene

She is currently in the Gulf of Mexico heading North towards the Louisiana coastline and looks set to remain to the West of the Florida Coast.

Here is the predicted forcast track from the NHC...

Actually as far as I am concerned they can track that way all they want. All depends on where you live. Arlene doesn't seem to pose a problem for south or central Florida at this point. Possibly the Panhandle

that's true of course, but what i meant was last year, they just kept hitting the same spots over and over....not the more common "share the wealth" where different areas are hit rather than just one area taking all of the beating over and over again.....

It was all over the TV. Tracked it via the Weather Channel and Fox 35.
The Floridians seemed far more prepared this year after last years Hurricanes. Hurricane week, etc was on most channels, etc.

Thanks Alan, do you have any predictions for as far ahead as November? will I be safely out of the season by then?

Is this a wind up? You can't predict the weather that far ahead. The hurricane season lasts 1 June till 30 November. No one knows what's going to happen!

Not intended as a wind up at all, I was only asking!!! Alan has become very adept at weather watching and I was asking for HIS prediction not a firm quote!
