Tropical Palms campground at Christmas

After trying several times for FW to no avail, we booked Trop. Palms for Dec. 23rd thru Jan 2nd, so we could make sure that we'd have someplace to stay. I'm now wondering if I should keep trying for FW, or just stay there. Do they or any of the campers decorate their sites, like they do at FW? Is their any special Christmas activities? Also, how about Old Town? Is it decorated for the holidays?

I'm trying to decide whether I want to keep trying for FW or stay with TP. We're only going to WDW 2 (Epcot & DQ), maybe 3 (MK) days. We all know all the great things about FW, but we also like walking to Old Town from TP's, and it is more centrally located for all the things we want to do. However, we want this trip to be all about Christmas, so if Tropical Palms isn't as festive, I'll definitely try for some nights at FW. Anyone been there during this time? I'm an obsessive planner, so I'd love to be able to make up my mind. If I'm going to still try for FW, I'll have to get into my "must call every morning mode". Thanks for your help!

I am interested in hearing some info on tropical palms too. While we already have our ressies at FW for Jan 1-8 we may go down a couple of days early and will need to stay some place else. I know there are a couple of KOA's in that area too. Any other suggestions???

We've never stayed at Tropical Palms, but if I were you, I'd keep trying FW. We were able to book a site in October one year. The CM at reservations told me that as the holiday time approaches, they get a lot of cancellations for different reasons.
