Tron AP preview thread

Not limited to Disney. Ticketmaster can't really handle events with huge demad such as Adele and Swift.
Ticketmaster is evil but not because of their lack of meet bandwidth for ticket sales. At least SOME sales go well. I bought tickets to Cheap Trick without issue. LOL

Anyway, didn't recall saying only Disney. Only said that I expect Disney will have issues, with every launch of anything. Period. They couldn't even get race sign ups to go smoothly.

aren't previews mostly in the middle of the week? When I registered for the guardians one, there were only weekday options for me

You didn't say or imply only Disney. I was extending the conversation.

I agree Ticketmaster and Live Nation are evil.
Yes same company

Seems like Disney used a 3rd party website or technology.... I think once link went live it went to something called que-it.

I’ve never tried to get a AP preview before. Are there any tips or tricks I should know? Like do I sign in before hand? I’m so nervous 😂
It's pretty straightforward. The key is to pay attention here for when the registration opens and NOT depend on communication from Disney. I happened to see an announcement here for GotG and ended up getting DVC and AP previews for it.

When we did Galaxy's Edge preview it was just before it opened to the public (8/26) It was only 3 days before it opened to the public. The next day was a press event (8/27), then another private event was held (8/28), and the opening was VERY early on 8/29.

The official park opening was 6am, but I think they let people in before 6am. It was dark out, pre-dawn.

The preview was very strict. Once you were in the land, you could roam around. I think most shops were open, but they had waits. MF:SR had a long wait, so we opted to use the single rider queue.

That's the only time I've been to Oga's and there was a wait to enter. Meh. that was one time where a truly indifferent set of cast members kinda ruined a WDW experience for us. We were seated at the bar, right in front of the CM's and nobody bothered to make eye contact or take our order. Not just us, but also the people all around us. It was odd. When a CM finally did take our orders, they had no enthusiasm of any kind, no attempt to be in character, nor even basic waitstaff politeness.

That was our first clue that Galaxy's Edge wasn't quite going to be the type of interactive experience that it was initially advertised to be.

One of the neatest things we saw that week was...well there was some sort of cosplay event at the Contemporary. We happened to be dining at CR and saw people arriving in costume for the event. We only saw a few cars arrive, but the people arriving had some very impressive cosplay costumes!

Okay, thank you!

I just noticed that there are block out dates in March for the Pixie and Pirate AP. I am not sure if it has always been like this or if this will be the dates for AP previews? Can anyone chime in??

They have been like that. No recent change.

Been that way with the new system June & July aren’t blocked out anymore like they were for “silver” in the old program instead “Pirate” is blocked during thanksgiving week, local spring break week and all Holiday Weekends

I will not be surprised if AP previews are just for Sorcerer and Incredi pass and occur that week which is a double bummer as when Tron does open passholders are on Easter block out (if I don’t get into AP previews I hope 4/17 I can snag a VQ or ILL

Following. Hoping to grab AP or Passholder preview over spring break. GotG preview was 2 weeks prior to announced opening date just like our spring break which falls the end of March.
