Does anyone know if there are any sparkling waters available in the lounge on the Magic?

I am sure they do but to be sure, make a call to shoreside concierge and tell them you would like some placed in your in room refrigerator

Oh thanks. I didn't know you could do that.

Last time I asked shore side concierge for certain items to be in my refrigerator they said they couldn't do that and had to get it from the lounge myself. In fact, everything I've asked shore side for on each cruise I've been on they told me no. Of course, when I asked the same of the concierges in the lounge on arrival everything was possible. Shore side is useless IMO.

perhaps rather than being useless, they’re just limited. I would suppose that shoreside is hesitant to promise something can happen, since they aren’t actually on board to ensure that.

So then what are they for? :confused3

Probably just to do the things that you “could” do on your own. I also found little use for the shoreside concierge.

All of the onboard reservations, cabanas, dining requests, helping arrange port excursions. it seems pretty clear from this board, that if you don’t use shoreside, you don’t get a cabana on CC if you want one. There are things that are done via computer. But, asking them to take beverages from the lounge and place them in the refrigerator in your stateroom is not something shoreside can physically do. So, perhaps they are hesitant to promise that that will occur.

I have not had that experience. They can only provide Coke products so that is one limitation. I asked shoreside if we could have extra milk, ginger ale, juice and if possible sparkling waters in our fridge. This was a couple of years ago. They had everything but the sparkling water. That was delivered the first day.

The lounge will have a good supply of Evian (still) and Perrier (sparkling). We have had both stocked along with coke products in the fridge. I assumed that most people don’t use as much sparkling waters but I drink it and just asked the concierge bartenders. They restocked and it never seemed to be an issue.

We’ve sailed Concierge every year since 2015, and have done so on all the ships. The only time they did not direct us to the lounge to stock up on drinks was on Magic, when there wasn’t a lounge. They refilled the fridge every day with our beverages of choice. We’ve never been able to get specific drinks in our room since, asking both Shoreside and onboard.

I recently had an experience with shoreside I can share.

1) they were able to book excursion and castaway cabana as well as get our family moved to main dining.

2) they were also able to ensure no soda/juice/snacks in the room, to be offset with bottled water, fruits and nuts.

I am not sure which shore side concierge people you are speaking with because we have never had a request denied. We have requested all kinds of drinks, everything from water to orange fanta to milk and apple juice be placed in the refrigerator. Upon arrival they were all there. Also have had yogurt and blueberries.

We requested bottled tea recently and they placed it in our room fridge.
