Triton's Women's Attire

My DW is contemplating what to take to wear for dinner at Triton's. Can some of the ladies (or gentlemen) give me an idea of what I can tell her? We know she wants to wear a dress, but doesn't know what type of pattern/style to wear. Any info. is appreciated!

Goofy hats, big white gloves and a short red and white polka dot skirt with large shoes. Or not. (that's my attempt at being funny)
There is a wide mix in the dining room but the majority, I think, were all wearing nice dresses, not too formal. I was dressed up in a flair sundress. Dress as if you are going to a fancy dinner or a wedding (but not IN a wedding). But you will see everything from casual to prom wear. I saw a guy in Bermuda shorts and a sloppy shirt in Palo! Don't do that!
