It was just beautiful, except for all those helicopters!!!! Trista's dress was so elegant and Ryan looked completely smitten. Best Wishes Trista & Ryan!:D

TC:cool:

I only watched a part of it but I taped the rest. They both looked absolutely georgous! And so happy. Best wishes to them!

Norah, I had tears too! Not until then, but that did it! It was so beautiful and thoughtful! :)

OK was i the only one who bawled at the end when he had brad paisley sing that song?!
Im also Guilty:teeth:

That was indeed beautiful. Hey, 4 million can make any wedding turn out great. I could have done without that stupid announcer though. "When we return .... the wedding of the decade!" "Stay tuned as we watch Trista and Ryan prepare for the wedding of the decade." "Come back as I introduce Trista and Ryan as Husband and Wife for the first time!" "There are at least four helicopters trying to get a glimpse of the wedding of the decade!!!!!!!"

The song at the end did make me cry. It was so special for Ryan to write and for it to be put to music. I'm glad he got something uniquely his in the wedding.

I didn't get to see it. One thing I've got to know...did the announcer ever say, " and we'll be back with the most dramatic wedding ceremony ever..."? ;)

Way too girlie! Awful! I got so bored I was channel surfing during the wedding. My girlfriend and I were watching it together and we were both just fed up with it. The pink was WAY too much. The whole interviews with Charlie and the other guy were just weird. It's like we were watching Dick Clarks New Years Eve special. And all of those cameras would have annoyed me. Plus I would have had my buddies out in the parking lot with missiles trying to shoot those helicopters down.

My girlfriend looked at me and said "if we get married we are in and out of there in 10 minutes, none of this song and poem stuff, just the I do's, rings and the kiss...then on to the party" I tell ya what after she said that I feel in love. :teeth: a woman after my own heart.

Yes the announcer actually said that! The only thing I could think of was this it is 2003 so we still have more than half of the decade to go!

Weren't they calling J. Lo and Ben's wedding "the wedding of the decade" a couple of months ago?

It was nice, but my friend and I both agreed that it looked like pepto bismol threw up on the seats.

I thought it was really beautiful! The best was the tables at the reception. I would DEFINATELY do that if I had 4 million to spend. ;) I have to agree with the comments about all of the "interviews." The "backstage" people looked so out of place it made me uncomfortable! lol! The host was weirding me out too. Did anyone think of a sporting event or a beauty pagent as he announced the processional?? Overall I really liked it, but there were certainly some questionable moments.

Darn, I missed it, I was in the air between Orlando and Milwaukee then. Shucks.

LOL Dan! I'd bet a ticket on Midwest Express that you don't even know (or care :)) who Trista and Ryan are! LOL :teeth:

Hmmm, I'm glad I missed it. I love romance and all that, but something tells me I would have gotten really annoyed at it all. Especially the announcer.

And I would hire Uncle Kyles buddies for the helicopters.

I wonder if the "Wedding of the Decade" will last to the end of the decade? Maybe it will, since he did let her have her way with the pink everywhere. It was kind of funny they kept asking his dad and mom what advice they'd give Ryan but they didn't ask her parents or show much interaction between her and her parents. I thought her mom's comment along the lines of "it's about time that she gets on to the next phase of her life" was interesting. I think Trista wants a show business career and all of this has been a way to move that along. I wonder if Ryan is on board with that plan.

What was with all the pink? I didn't think Ryan wanted a pink girlie strawberry shortcake wedding? At least he got out of wearing a pink tie and flowers, I guess he just wanted to make Trista happy. Those helicopters were so annoying. I'm surprised they didn't declare it a no fly zone. Maybe they (she) like all the publicity. Am I the only one who thought that was the longest ceremony ever?! Even without the commercials it would have taken forever. I felt bad for the wedding party having to stand through it all. At my Sister's wedding, the ceremony didn't take near that long, but it's very tiring on you because you trying to stand proper and not be shifting around all around like you would normally standing that long. I guess it didn't help we were wearing 3" heels. (My sister was proud because I didn't fall even though it was my first time in heels.) It was very sweet how Ryan made his poem into a song, then got Brad Paisley to sing it. That is a moment to remember.

On a side point, I agree with what Wayne Brady said on his show. He said if this was a Reality TV wedding, they should have followed them getting married on their own budget. Maybe the show could have helped some but almost $4 MILLION for a wedding!? That's crazy.

I guess I must have been in a bad mood last night because my 'take' was somewhat negative. The helicopters were BEYOND annoying, the dress(s) did NOT impress me at all - despite the cost, I didn't think they were anything beyond ordinary, Trista's hairdo was a MESS, the flowers were gorgeous but WAAAAY overdone (and I am a floral nut), and the pink pink pink was just plain YUK! The good stuff: I liked the musical group playing at the ceremony (when you could hear them over the helicopters), the aisle and aisle/floral decorations were lovely, (if you could notice them over all the monster arrangements at the 'altar.'), mothers and stepmother looked elegant, shaded colors of chair covers were very pretty. But $$4 million???? Embarrassing to say the least, but yeh, I watched it along with millions of others so I am guilty as charged. Good luck to Ryan when he returns to his job as a fireman! I wonder if he will ever live it down??

Well I loved it and wish them nothing but the best. Maybe they won't make it to "forever" but so many marriages don't. They seem to really be in love.

It was interesting seeing Bob & Estella together. This wedding actually took place last Saturday and I thought I'd heard Bob & Estella were history. But when they showed Estella she never looked too happy.

I wish Shannon (Bachelorette) could find somebody. I like her.

The little ring bearer in the fire engine was so cute!!!!

I don't think they had any idea there would be helicopters. They seemed genuinely surprised and it was so distracting, I think if they had known they would have planned an indoor wedding.

Can somebody explain exactly why Trista got (needed) 2 diamond wedding bands? She was only wearing one after the ceremony.

I hated the pink and thought the ceremony was WAY too long.

I thought the wedding was beautiful and wish them the best. I do beleive they are really in Love. I cried when Brad Paisley sang the song Ryna wrote.
