Do trips to the resort via bus require park passes? I'm trying to see if I can minimize the days of our park passes. On the first night, may be we can do a Mickey Dinner at the Contemp. and get my 5 year old in the mood without having to enter a park and reduce our need for a pass that first night.

I'm a first timer so I just don't know such details.

Thanks.

If you are staying on Disney property then you have access to disney transportation & can go anywhere at the World. You do not need park admission to ride Disney transportation.

Good plan that will work. There is a lot to see and do at the resorts. We always plan one or more days with no parks, just RR

Florida Cat,

How many days of R&R do you plan in?

Depends on length of stay. Monday we will be checking in at WL and we will do MGM and have Tuesday scheduled what we call "Resort Day". Eveyone is on their own after we go somewhere for Breakfast. This year we will go over to FW to eat at Trails End.

I also need to make you aware that when you get to your resort to find the information center. Pick up maps and time sheet for the parks you plan to see, Very important.

Study the map so you have a god idea what you want to see and do and make a check mark on the corresonding number or letter on the map. This saves many steps if you have your bearings, because the layout of the parks can get pretty confusing while you are there.

I don't know your ticket plans, but if you have a multiday ticket you can go to the same park on two different days.

You sound nervous so relax and have the time of your life. The neat thing about Disney is you always leave with a reason to come back. Any of us with good sense has to watch our spending in a place like that; so you are coming across to me as using your head.

I am going to get some web sites for you to look at. Be back later.

Here is a site that will answer a lot of questions for you. In the Dining section you can read the menu's and pricing. This will help pick a place to fit your budget.
