I was wondering if anyone had done the tours to Paris that Disney offer? Me and my boyfriend are looking into going to Paris in March and we are staying in Disneyland first and then going into Paris for a few days. We will not be renting a car so I was wondering what would be the best to do? Stay in Paris and make our own way around, using transport like the metro, or staying in Disneyland a couple of extra days and going on the tours they provide?
any help would be much appreciated :)

We did the Cityrama day trip to Paris this year. I've written a full review on my last trip report, day 3 I think, see link on my signature.

It did work out quite pricey, but I think it was worth it. I don't think we'd have seen half of what we did if we'd gone alone.

Plenty people however do go into Paris for the day using the train. The station is right at Disneyland and I think takes about 40 minutes to Paris.

I have been 2 Paris 2 times this year, without a tour we drove from Germany. We did take a bus and boat tour one evening, and I really enjoyed the time we had on our own better. If you are wanting to keep it less expensive I would go on your own.

Most of the sites in Paris are pretty close together so it isn't too hard to plan. Navigating the metro is also really easy too, and we were traveling with a 1 and 3 year old.

We did take a bike tour with Fat Tire Bike tours. The guides were young and funny, and it was a great time! You can do this first to get acquainted with the layout of the tourist area.

We really enjoyed the art museums; we visited the Louvre, L'Orangerie, and Musee D'orsay. Also walking around Montmartre where the Sacre Cour is.

We did go to the top of the eiffel tower, but I wouldn't go again...unless the line is non-existent. We spent 2 hours in a line just to get to the top level, and back down to level 2. We decided we had enough of waiting in line for the elevator so took the stairs down....that was quite a journey carrying 2 a little one.

Let me know if you have any more questions exploring on your own, I can try to help. :)

We are off to DLPR on 8th November for our sons 5th birthday, we are staying Tuesday until Friday. We are hoping to spend the morning and early afternoon in the park on Friday (leaving our bags at the train station lockers)We then hope to catch the train into paris around early evening, drop our bags quickly at our hotel (which i must pull my finger out and book) and then do a night tour of paris as my hubby as never been before) I have seen many tours which are bookable prior to leaving the Uk and Lastminute.com seem to do loads of paris illumination tours. Also Moulin rouge tickets etc... but we cant do this for having our son with us. Its worth checking it out to see what is available.
We fly home saturday afternoon, i cannot wait x
