So I was reading trip advisory reviews WOOHHOO fun Friday night! :lmao: I went to look at some photos of AOA and low and behold there was a traveler photo with the nemo bed in what looked to be like triple sheeting with a runner at the bottom? :confused3 I also saw pictures from CBR that look the same white bedding with a runner at the bottom of the bed. Is this the new 'norm' are all resorts going to be triple sheeting with runners?? I just thought since the comforters at AOA were only a year that would be that last to see it. I found it kind of weird!

This seems to be the trend. I have to say I am not surprised with the number of people who remove the bedspreads as soon as they walk in the room for the first time. Our last trip to CBR, I was talking to our mousekeeper who mentioned that they end up wasting time putting the bed spreads back on the beds even though they know the guests will remove them when they come back. But the mousekeepers rooms get randomly inspected and they get marks against them if the bedspreads were not on even if the guests requested they not be put back on.

I have to say I am thrilled if it does become norm!! I hate that darn bedspread ICK!! I think CBR must all be changed over. But wonder why there are random sightings LOL I would love for them all to be changed over by September!!!

I don't mind them doing away with the bedspreads but it would be nice if they put a runner at the bottom. Totally decorative but it does give the room a little more colour and could stay in the theme. It would be easy to take off and put back on. For example the pictures I saw of CBR with the all white bed just kind of sucks the life out of that room. The colours, especially in a Caribbean themed room kind of make the look to me. Not a big deal, and I'll still stay there but it would be nice to see something to tie in the theme.

ETA) Duh.. just saw where you wrote there was a runner. I hadn't seen any pictures with that but hopefully that's the case. I'll be fine with that!

We stayed in the cars section at AoA. The CM who set up the crib was very excited to tell us about the "new" triple sheeting with runner. He said they had just ,are the change. I was kind of indifferent about the change.

If you still like a thicker blanket there are really comfy soft blankets folded up on the shelf.

We stayed at AOA just a couple of weeks ago and half way through our stay the heavy bedspread was replaced with the runner at the end of the bed. It really made the bedroom so much nicer. That bedspread was horrible, I can't imagine anyone actually slept under it. It's too bad they didn't come up with this idea before AOA opened. I wonder how much money was wasted on thousands of lead-weight bedspreads?

I agree!! It personally think it looks much nicer with the runner for color!! Wonder if anyone has seen these at other resorts?? Wonder how they are choosing which get them/which does not! It would seem to make sense that AOA would be replaced last since their bed spreads are the newest odd!!

It was announced at the DVC meeting in December that all DVC resorts will be going to it.

Do you know if SSR has them or will be getting them? When I looked at the soft good replacement photos on all ears in January they showed bedspreads and they are ugly

Were just at AoA last weekend. Same old bedspread usage. I much prefer the clean look with a nice colorful runner at the foot of the bed.

From the pictures of AoA on trip advisor, some rooms definitely have them. It looks like they literally made the runners out of the old bedspreads.
