Day 6 (April 26, 2002)- Epcot and Small Town
Woke up this morning and I was ready to hit a park. I offered to go to MK but my husband talked me out of it (shouldnt have let him). I had wanted to hit MGM again but I wanted to go at night so that I could see Fantasmic, so .I picked Epcot. I made a 1:00 PS for LeCellier. We were going to finish our drinking around the world with a drink in Mexico and China, lunch at Le Cellier and then hit all the things that I had missed.
Well we got there and a robotics competition was going on. I was so concerned about crowds but I didnt notice a huge problem. We headed straight for Mexico. WOW ..IT WAS SO HOT!!!!!! I had been down here all week and the heat never affected me like it did today. We did the boat ride in Mexico .it served to cool us down .nice. I got a margarita YUMMY.
We walked to China. My husband was not in a good mood ..hot and grouchy. He refused to chance it and order Chinese Beer. I still had the margarita and couldnt order chinese wine. We moved on. MISSION FAILED AGAIN ..AHHHHHH. We took the boat over to Canada .that was nice. We then ate at LeCellier. I found the service good, the food good, and the atmosphere OK ..Nothing that I would go out of my way for again. I even had the Cheese soup, a steak, Crème Brulet and the Ice Wine. It still didnt impress me. Maybe it was the heat that didnt make me hungry enough to enjoy it. A dinner PS maybe wouldve been a better idea.
We then trekked over to the Land. I wanted to see the Garden Grill. I couldnt imagine a rotating restaurant. The boat ride had a long wait. We moved on. I WAS SO TIRED and the heat was bothering me so bad. Was I just burnt out from marathon-ing earlier in the week? We had even rested yesterday. I treid to enjoy the Living Seas. McKenzie seemed to like it. I was miserable.
We did however put McKenzie on the Living Legend wall. THAT WAS A HUGE GOAL FOR ME!!! SOOOOO happy I did that for her. If its God will to allow me to have more children, then I will attempt to do it for each before they get too old to think its a stupid idea.
We checked into a new hotel just down the road and we PASSED OUT FROM EXHAUSTION. We once again slept late. It was definitely too late to try MK. I considered MGM but it was getting late. We would probably go and have to get straight in line for Fantasmic (DEFINITELY WISH THAT I WOULD HAVE). My husband wanted to again hang out with his Best Friend though. This turned into a bit of a tiff. All I wanted to do was to get back onto Disney property (even if it wasnt a park), but I was afraid that maybe I did burn us out at the beginning of the week. He wanted to hang out with his friend so bad. WHAT WAS I THINKING?? I hadnt strolled the West Side yet. What about Disney Quest?
Exhaustion had wore me down and it didnt take him much time to win the argument. We met his friend (and wife this time) for dinner at a Chinese Buffet (we were saving big bucks hanging out with his friend). There was a MAJOR rainstorm tonight. First time it had rained the whole trip. Made me think that was why it was so humid today. Maybe I wasnt crazy. After the rain, we went to the small street ?fair? ?Carnval? there named ?Small Town??. All we did was walk around and talk. The boys rode Go-Karts. Definitely not owned by Disney! We went back to the Hotel and Kenzie and I shared some ice cream. Shes such an angel.
