Trip to Disneyworld 2009 - Advice

Hi - we are planning a two week trip to disney in 2009, two families (4 adults) and 3 kids (9 & 6 yr boys) and 5 yr girl.
We want to stay at one of the resort hotels but don't know which one is best for kids of this age nor can we decide on best time of year.We would like it to be hottish and not to busy if that's possible.
would appreciate it if anyone out there has some suggestions that may help.

My favorite time of year to go is end of April/early May. The weather is great usually 80-90 in the daytime , 60's at night, low humidity. Crowds are low to moderate. Check to see when Easter is. Avoid that week.

We like to stay at the value resorts. Our fave is POP. Good prices, lots of fun stuff for the kids, large gift shop, good food court. Here's a great thread with lots of info on POP http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=21626944#post2162 6944
