trying to convince DH to make a
trip to DL and san diego this august. We just
came back from a cheap florida vacation with my parents so this will take some convincing!! First step is
finding cheap flights. suggestions anyone??

We flew out of BUF to LA on SW for our trip to Disneyland a few years back. You can also fly to San Diego too. MUCH CHEAPER than Air Canada.

Try flying into SNA. It's a great airport (think tiny and easy) and is about 10 minutes from Disneyland. Right now it isn't cheap, but I've seen it for fairly cheap before...so hopefully it will be again!

We flew into SNA from Winnipeg via Toronto (I know, backwards, but great sale during the Olympics) last summer. We went for just under 2 weeks. Spent 4 days in Carlsbad, 4 in SD and then 5 at Disneyland. I fell in love with the area. The next time we do it we will spend a day at Legoland (maybe...depends on the weather--water park was great but the kids had enough with the park itself after about 2-3 hours), 5-6 days in San Diego (ammmmmaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing city. Loved it and can't say enough good things about it.) and then 5 or so in Anaheim. You could do it in less time...I just like to relax and enjoy it!

I really did love it. Let me know if you have specific questions!
:)

Not sure where you are but Virgin America Airlines has flights from Toronto to LA all of the time for $129 one way. This is a non-stop flight and a very good deal. Love, love, love California.

thanks for the replies. We are near Toronto but willing to fly out of Buffalo if the price is right! Where do u guys recommend for places to stay in San Diego and DL?

We stayed across the street from DL entrance at Park Vue Inn. it was inexpensive (we got 89 per night) and included breakfast and a hot snack in the evening. Close enough to walk and take an afternoon break!

in San Diego we stayed in downtown near the gaslight section. I would recommend looking in the Balboa park area though it's much nicer area and closer to the zoo and wild animal park.

We just did this trip this past summer! it was fantastic though we drove down from alberta and stopped in san francisco as well.

Have fun planning!
