Good morning,

Hanging out waiting to head down to the park for our final day. We arrived on Monday and will be taking off for San Diego tomorrow.

Monday: Landed at LAX, actually a few minutes early. Got off the plane and headed to baggage claim. Our bags were some of the first out. Before I could return to the baggage claim from the restroom, DH had them and off we went.

Hopped in our rental car around 4:30 and got on the road. We jumped in the HOV lane and we were at our hotel within 45 min. Not bad.

We are in the Fairfield, bottom floor opposite the pool. I like the easy in and out, don't like the noise but it settles down pretty fast.

Walked down to the park and got our tickets and photopass. Glad I did that so I didn't have to mess with it when there was a crowd.

Went into Cali Adventure and walked around, went over and got on the Radiator Springs Ride. LOVED it. Took us about 45 min but that was ok. DH at a Turkey Leg while we waited.

Called it a night and went back the next day.

LESSON LEARNED. I got the three day park hopper through MWR (Military). Great deal BUT it did not allow us to enter early as I was led to believe. I was a bit upset that we went down an hour early for nothing but DH was sweet and didn't give me a hard time. Good thing. He may outweigh me by nearly 200 lbs but I could take him if I had to.

Heading out soon...so I'll stop here.

Loving the light crowds. We rarely waited more than 20 min for any ride we got on, other than radiator springs. BBL for more thoughts.

Why didn't you get in DL early with the 3 day? Was it a MM?

The military tickets don't come with MM. I've never used them, and I'm not sure who told the OP it came with one, but it's well versed on these boards that they do not.

OP, sounds like you've had a great trip minus that hiccup. I'm glad your husband was understanding.

I thought that any 3 or more days on a ticket got you in for the early morning hour in DL...no?? For our upcoming trip, I got us 3 and 5 day hoppers (not military) and thought we could all get into DL on Saturday morning early. :confused3

Yes, on regular 3+ day hoppers that is true. Military tickets are discounted, so lose the perk. Like I said, I've never used them myself to confirm this 100%, but I know I have read it on here multiple times.

Thanks! I got ours on a discount through GET travel for the Avengers marathon, so I hope that isn't the same as the military tickets, even tho they are both discounts...

I got my tickets at our MWR office. I asked if the 3 day hopper had all the same perks that the regular one did and I was told yes. Not a huge deal. Just for those who can use the military benefit of the discount, know that unless you stay in the park you don't get the perk to enter early.

The crowd levels have been wonderful. Last night as we were leaving the park we walked up to Star Tours and went straight to the que for the next shuttle. That was our second time doing it and it was neat that it was a different story line than the first one we saw.

Loved the 3D Bugs life show. DIDN'T love the stink bug smell though. LOL

All in all we had a great time. I'm so glad that there are lots of bathrooms because DH visited everyone of them with all the water he's had to drink getting ready for his show.

Sadly we are off to San Diego today for the big contest :) Wish us (Him) luck :)

Unfortunately the GET Travel discount tickets do not get the MM either :sad2:

I emailed them and that was the answer I got. Not sure if I should rearrange my park days or not.
