We sailed the May 20th Wonder and could not have been happier! It exceeded our expectations in every way.
We flew in from the west coast the night before and stayed at the airport Hyatt. Strongly recommend it. Beautiful, handy, easy, good food, nice balcony view. A great hotel. Left our baggage out the next morning and had DCL get it to the boat -- so easy!
Used DCL transfers since we had booked REAS and weren't worried about ressie rush. I liked it and for two people I think the cost is fine. I liked watching cartoons the whole way.
Check in was quick and easy and I even got to take a picture with Donald while we waiting for them to start boarding the ship. We were on at as soon as they began boarding. Lunch on deck 9. Very nice. Straight to the room at 1.
We had a cat 9 -- stateroom 2564. Great location -- very roomy for two people. Ordered the Happy Anniversary stateroom celebreation which DH loved. When we reached our cabin, we had our only glitch. The REAS welcome basket was there, but no letter with info on our ressies! So I ended up doing the ressie rush anyway! Well, as it turned out, there were no lines and Debbie had handled all of our ressies just fine. Spa and Palo had everything already booked. Whew.
Everything else was dreamy. We did catamaran sail and snorkel in nassau. Beautiful -- recommend. Did the personal watercraft ecotour on Castaway -- highly recommend. VERY fun and you are allowed to go VERY fast and have fun!
DH had never been on a cruise and he is not a big Disney fan, but the boat won his heart and he can't wait to sail her again. The beautiful art deco details and the wonderful array of adult activities (Palo -- YUM!, couple's massage, rainforest room, waverunners on Castaway, late-night barrel of Laughs, champagne each night on deck, etc) were what did it for him. It was by far our most romantic anniversary ever.
Happy to answer any questions. Thanks to all for the many tips that made this trip a success! ESPECIALLY those who suggested REAS! It was AWESOME!
