So...we get to bed in those wonderful, cozy, beds in our new room at the Poly!! My husband was loving the big flat screen tv and the kids loved the leis and wanted to wear them all around the parks. After the first day of me carrying them around, I had to say no to that, and no to several other items my girls wanted to bring along (geesh women...where do they get this stuff? 
) I set a wake up call for 8:00am...well I hop in the shower at 7:40, excited for our first full day of MK, this was Thursday the 30th btw. The phone rings and I start smiling a happy giddy smile at myself in the mirror, so happy I could plan such a cool wake up suprise for my family, only, after about 7 rings, my dh gets up and says "who the %$#% is calling us??" I stood there and tried to peel my 7 yo out of bed saying "you have aphone call, pick up the phone dd7!!" OK so nothing from her, phone still ringing, husband looking at me like I am INSANE...and growing very irate... "for the love of all that is good and evil!!" I say, "Will one of you kids get out of bed and get this phone??" PLEASE???? pLEASE??? nothing...not one child...not one out of three (why even have that many at this point??? 
just kidding) wants to get the durn phone!! I finally pick it up and NOTHING!! Not a thing...then DH wants to know why the heck we have to be up so early and this is vacation and yadayadayada!!! He is clearly agitated and I overerestimated his ability to do as I say and do as I do while at WDW. He is kind of mad that we need to be at the MK by 9...he really would have popped his top if I would have wanted to be ther 50 mins early as my tourguide suggested, I tell him I AM BEING FLEXIBLE here...he does not buy it but agrees to get going early. It is right now that I am going to loose my battle of commando style touring, I feel it, I know it is coming before it even starts...we head to the monorail (the kids want to ride) to get to the MK. It was just as fabulous during the day!! Hot, humid and I had that sick feeling it would be crowded and had my trusty map and touring plan OUT an ready...we rented a stroller, double is 16 bucks BTW but we fit three girls in it(probably not legal but they are small girls, OK??) We enter and watch Cinderellabration right away! Very cute and whimsical...my girls ADORED the show and what a great way to start your MK experience especially as a little girl who loves (and plans a future carreer of being a ) PRINCESS!! The show had all of them!! It was cute. So then we head to Tomorrowland. Stitch, we all loved...was no wait.. I was in heaven!! I looked at Buzz (hardly a wait at all) and went in after Stitch. My family liked this, however did not because even my 5 yo score was higher than mine!! The first time my DD9's score card was not working so the CM let us stay on without getting in a line!! COOL buzz twice!! Maybe I can at least beat the scardey cat 5 yo...NO sorry to the mama...I lost again!! We are highly competative and should consider a Disney Amazing Race...So here is where it gets interesting, I tell dh we need to go directly to Space Mt but he is now INSISTING we do ALL ATTRACTIONS in order according to the park MAP?????!!!! WHAT??? Nonsense I tell him...this is Disney...we shall not do something so TOURIST LIKE...but he is the financeer of thid trip and I want to come back again and again so I opt for doing things his way...(note to self: if going to WDW during peak season, ditch the dh but consider taking the children...) I see that the park is quite empty so I agree reluctantly...so we tour the park, catching everything in park order from TL to AL...with a stop at CRT for lunch. Speaking of that...you have to hear this one to believe it...
so we go to Tinks Treasures and the girls buy princess shoes for their costumes for CRT(never mind the expense...can't payless carry princess ball gown shoes?? Can't payless be IN disney??) and dd9 takes off her brand new pink crocs and puts on the Aurora shoes and I am helping my little pixie get into her fairy shoes (she has not yet mastered the fine art of using currency, esp Disney dollars...)so after an eventful, very cute CRT lunch (food was just soso...)we go to get changed and TADA...NO SHOES for my dd9!!! None...not ONE pair in all of WDW...besides those gorgeous sequin slippers (however do not see a swoosh on those shoes so I doubt they are good park shoes...)I run back to Tinks Treasures and TADA AGAIN...find the crocs just sitting there (I found most people to be kind and honest in WDW btw...)so she asks if she can just wear the Aurora slippers for awhile...FINE...WHATEVER... I say...I am saying to myself " can't a mother just GET to the HM without any problems for goodness sake???" And I proceed to clean out our stroller while talking to DH on the cell telling him all is well the crocs are found...blahblah, need to hit HM, Blah blah...jungle cruise, hear that Tiki show is good...and throw away all the junk and bags in the stroller. OK so all is good in the world and our family does the HM, loves it...and we are on our way to SM when dd9 asks about her Crocs AGAIN...So I look in the bag...NO CROCS ladies and gentlemen...for the 2nd time today...no crocs!!! HOLY MOSES!! Can anyone reading this on the DIS please tell me what kind of looney tune I am?? (faux pau here pals, guess I should say Goofball???) I apologize to my DD over and over but I realize she has NO PARK shoes in FlORIDA...we have no car and only 4 days to tour WDW...with three and a half remaining!! WHAT am I going to do?? I rush back to Tinks store and look in the trash, it was 43 mins past the time I threw them out. I remember now doing it and remember which trash it is in ONLY...who says DISNEY is looking trashy these days?? CM's don't clean up enough??? The trash has been taken to that big, happy wonderland we like to call the incinerator!! GONE FOLKS...I know I could buy some more shoes and I was willing to do so, more than willing. It wasn't the money, it was the shoes!! She just got them and Loved them and they were her bday present and the whole family had a pair and WHAAAHHH!! I cried...I calmly asked Jim at Tinks Treasures if there was any way of finding taken out trash??? I know I sound like CRAZY lady right now but hang in there with me, Jim says no but feels sooo sorry for me and my DD who has NO shoes (except for those GORGEOUS ball gown shoes) and he writes me a ticket for NEW gym shoes at the Emporium!! I explain I will pay for them, I threw them away, it was my fault, please no but thank you!! He INSISTS and says he will have it no other way!!
