Usually when we go on our trips there is about six people involved but this time me and my mom decided to just go by ourselves in hopes it would be a more relaxed trip. We left our home of southern Florida at 10 am on Thursday and arrived at the Wilderness Lodge around 1:30pm. It was the first time either of us stayed at this hotel and it was beautiful. We put down our stuff and headed off to MGM.

The first thing we did when we got to MGM was buy Guest of Honor badges. Then it started to rain like it always does every time I go to MGM so we went on a small hunt for rain ponchos. Our first attraction stop would be at Who wants to be a Millionaire-Play it. I love this show, it's definitely one of my favorites. Throughout the whole show I ranked in the first postion but when it got time for me to go to the hot seat the show ran out of time. Our next stop was The Great Movie ride. Through this ride I hunted for Hidden Mickeys. I just bought the Hidden Mickey book and it was very interesting to find where they hid them all. I would have never have noticed them without reading the book. After that we wondered around and looked through the Disney art stores, then went on the Animation tour thing. First time I did that but it was rather interesting. I promised my mom Id save the fun rides for another day since she doesnt like to do them so much so we headed off the dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe. I realized that I dont like this restuarant and frankly the food sucks but the milkshakes are good. We have never seen Fantasmic and heard it was excellent so we headed off the get good seats. When we got seated it started to pour again. Every time i want to see this show it rains and lightenings. This time however the show was only delayed. Personally, I thought the show would be better. It definitely wasn't what I expected and I was a tad bit disappointed.

Part 2 coming up, next day... Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

I'm sorry you didn't like Fantasmic! Our family really enjoyed it. We saw it in MGM for the first time on Fri., 4/8 -- we had seen it before in DL, and I was prepared to think that it wouldn't measure up. Boy did it ever though. In fact, I think we liked WDW's better than DL's! We were stuck in Epcot in the rain for IllumiNations; however, by 9, when that started the rain was gone. And I was unimpressed with IllumiNations... a show so many love. Just goes to show you that different people connect with different shows and the fact that Disney has offers so many options is wonderful.
