Here is the beginning to my long awaited trip report!!

Day 1 ~ June 15, 2006

Mike and I arrive at my parents house, bright and early at 7 am. Since there are 7 of us going and tons of baggage, we need to take 2 cars to the airport. All packed up and off to the airport we go, we check in early, since we are flying Southwest and want to make sure that we are in that A line since I have a dress to go in the overhead compartment. I go through security, but i get "red starred" oops!! who knew that you couldn't carry a cake knife and server in your baggage. dumb move by me, i now have to run out and find my parents to put it into their checked luggage. we are first in line to get on the plane, my dress is folded in 3 and in the overhead compartment it goes, the plane is pretty empty, off we go to disney world!!

We land somewhere around 12:30 sucessfully claim all of our baggage and try to manuver it through the airport to get the rental cars. finally loaded up, we're off to get the marriage license...

We get to Orange County courthouse, and the marriage license process was surprisingly simple. We're out of there in about 30 minutes, and we're official to get married in Disney!! We then head back to BJ's to pick up the water bottles and snacks for the welcome bags... We get back to the Beach Club where I am staying with my MOH Laura and my brother's girlfriend & BM Marissa. We've got alot of things to accomplish before Karen - our EM stops by at 6 to pick up the stuff for the reception.

My brother and Marissa put together the programs and we get everything organized for Karen, and she shows up at 6 on the dot.

We quickly put together the welcome bags. And as Mike came to help me deliver them, I almost forgot the itnenary I worked so hard on! The bags came out good, not my original concept but they worked, and everyone loved them! (canvas bags - i couldn't get the right size at the last minute, so i had to scrap that idea.)

Mike helps me deliver the bags (probably the only thing he did to help :sad2: and then we go to dinner in Japan at Epcot. After dinner I go back to the Beach Club, visit with the parents for a bit, and i'm passed out asleep by 10:45.

I think the bag looks really cute. Congrats and can't wait to hear more about it! :sunny:

Nicole, Those bags are great! I can't wait to hear all about the rest of your trip, and see your billion and one photos!

Wow you left for your wedding the same day we left for Kammie's wedding, although we drove so didn't make it in until the following evening. Karen was Kammie's EM too, how cool!
You two are such a cute couple, loving the trip report. I got to get back to writing my own--(I write too much though :) )
Congratulations and much pixie dust on your Happily Ever After!!!!!

The girls and I sleep in until about 9:30, we were laughing about how we NEVER sleep this late in Disney, but we don't have any park plans because we're in Wedding mode!!

I meet my parents around 11 and we go to Downtown Disney to do some shopping, i still have to get some stuff to put in my bridesmaids tote bags.

I pick up the goods, and now start stressing out about the mickey ear hats that i want to get embroidered for all of the bridal party. I call Mike because he's at the MK getting his hair cut and he's no help. They sold the hats at DTD but the embrodiery was 7 dollars and i wanted to buy them at DTD and take them to the MK to get stiched. No one at DTD was helpful at all, so I decided that I was too stressed out, Mike wasn't helping and I figured that some of the wedding party wouldn't buy into my idea anyway, so after about an hour and a half stressing, i scrapped that idea as well. My parents picked up the bridal ears for Mike and I and off we go to the Earl of Sandwich. I've never eaten there before and everyone raves about it, so we wanted to try it. We walk in and the line is way to long and we are starving, so we decide to go to the Rainforest Cafe instead.

While we're there, we hear that my Aunt and Uncle and my grandparents are on their way, so we finish up lunch and get back to the BC. My grandparents flew down for the wedding, this is the first time they have flown on an airplane in over 35 years, so it was a big event! Well they were staying at the Shades of Green, and they kept driving in circles, and they were lost. My dad had to go out to find them and take them to the resort. I decided that was good pool time for me. Marissa and I hit the pool, but we're only down there for about 10 minutes, and it starts to rain...

We go back to the room to get ready for dinner. my family and Mike's were eating at Chef Mickeys. We have a reservation for 22 people at 6 pm. it took forever for everyone to get there, and at about 7pm we're finally seated. It was great fun - I love chef mickeys!

After dinner, Mike heads to the MK with our friends, but i'm way too tired to go, plus i'm in nice clothes and heels, and i just want to change!

So my cousin thinks that the thing i need to de-stress is a Margarita or two. And he was right! So we head back to the BC so i can change and off we go to ESPN Zone. 3 margaritas later and i'm singing our way back to the BC and off to bed we go..

Saturday was a busy day...

Laura and I are up bright and early, we have an appointment to get our nails done at Periwigs. The girls there were wonderful. I got my nails done and a pedicure. The pedicure was expensive - being from NYC, I expected expensive, but shocked when I found out it was $55.00.

here i'm sitting in the pedicure chair hoping this is the best pedi of my life

While we were getting all prettied up, the guys were at Coronado for their tux fitting at 9:00am. There were some tuxes that didn't fit, so Carolyn Allen was going to exchange them and drop them back off around 6-6:30 that night.

After that, Mike came up to the BC to spend the day with me. He brings the bridesmaids dresses over from the coronado because they are going to be steamed. He meets Laura and I at Beaches and Cream and we get some lunch. After that, Laura goes off to spend some time with her family, and Mike and I were going to go to the pool and relax. While we were on our way there, the "projector issue" comes up. Pause right here, so I can explain this projector....

*** About a week before we left for Disney, the best man, Mark calls me and asks me if there is going to be a projector at the wedding. I tell him no, and since I am in the hotel industry, i know rental for LCD projectors are quite expensive, plus the tech fee, etc. I tell him no, there will not be a projector, we say goodbye, end of story. Well the next day, I mention this to my mom, and she says that my dad and brother wanted to rent one because they have something special planned as well. I tell her, they can do what they want, i don't want pictures, and I have way too much stuff to do than to be bothered with coordinating an LCD projector. Basically my dad gets this rental through a company, my brother calls Mark on tuesday night to tell him we got it, so he can prepare something. Mark leaves early Wednesday for Disney, and he never calls Matt back. *** back to TR

... so Mike starts to lay into me about this projector thing, and why i told Mark there would be no projector when there was going to be one. Now Mike knows everything, Matt had to call him for Mark's phone number, so this is no mystery. he's going on and on with me that Mark and his fiance are mad at me, everyone's mad, blah, blah, blah. now... who tells a bride, who only in the last 5 days has turned into bridezilla that people are mad at her? Common sense Mike! So i start to cry, and he does nothing but still be mean, and i go up to the room and lock him out. I'm emotional crying hysterically when Laura comes back, then Marissa and my parents come back. they're all trying to calm me down - I now want to call off the wedding, My parents are calling Mike trying to explain this all over agin to him, nothing is getting through to him. Finally i think my dad settles it all.

Now, Carolyn Allen shows up, and i'm really in no mood to deal with anyone! My mom gives me some of her xanex to calm me down, and with that, I give my mom the money for Carolyn Allen and I pass out. While i'm asleep, my Mom and Grandma assemble all of the tote bags and goodies for my bridemaids to give out at the rehearsal dinner. My mom wakes me up as Carolyn Allen is getting ready to leave, but because of the Xanex i can't focus and can't stay awake. She gives Carolyn the money, the total is $105.00 and she gives her $107. After the fact, i start freaking out, she only gave her a $2.00 tip. However, i don't feel bad at all, after seeing the dresses, I don't think she did a good job at all on the bridesmaids skirts, and she got a stain on on of the girls skirts. I was going to tip her when she picked up the tuxes, but I decided against it.

I hop in the shower to wake up, do my hair, Marissa's and Lauras (I'm a pro at using the flat iron, so the girls wanted their hair done!) and at 5 we're out the door waiting for the bus, which was running about 10 minutes late, which was good, b/c my aunt and uncle were no where to be found! You'll see later that they have no sense of time!

the bus shows up, and we're off to the pavillion where we meet Karen. I have not said a word other than hi to Mike at this point, he didn't sit with me on the bus and didn't bother to get up when I got on.

Karen does a quick summary of what we're about to do, and for the amount of people we have in hte wedding party, everyone was good to go on the 1st run through. we do it one more time, and perfecto! karen quickly does a recap of the wedding day's events and we're on the bus on the way to epcot!

here we're having a "nice moment"

We go through the back of epcot, and get to italy isola and we're blown away, the isola looks great! We were originally booked in France, but someone wanted to book France, so they waived the minimum number and moved us to italy. Good move, it's so much nicer there!

We have a great dinner, That night was my grandpa's birthday, he forgot it was his birthday! We surprised him with a cake and sang happy birthday to him. Techinical difficulties delayed the fireworks - no problem, that just extended the party longer!

After that, we were on our way back to the hotels. I had to get off at the coronado to pick up the car since I needed it the next morning. It was only at that point where Mike apologized, and things were back to normal. When I got back to the BC packed my bags for the next day. I was in bed at about 12 midnight. When people say that you're too excited to sleep the night before your wedding, uh.. they're wrong, i slept like a baby!! After all, i had to be up around 4:45...

...end of Day 3

Day 4 is the big day!!!

Yeah!!! Well Yeah to the TR update and the making up at the end of day 3. Sorry the rest of the day didn't go as great :( Too bad that one of the girls dresses got a stain on it :( Carolyn Allen actually did an awesome job on our dresses--especially Kammie's (David's Bridal didn't do such a great job when she got it back from alterations--after Carolyn did it Kammie responded that she didn't know the skirt of her gown could be so crisp looking:) )
You both look cute at your rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner sounds like it was fun and looks so nice--I love your centerpieces they are cute!!!
Can't wait to hear more :)

Oooh, this is so much fun to read! I love FTW, and after seeing what they can do I've convinced my husband to do a vow renewal at some point! :cool1: Can't wait to read more
