Here is the beginning to my long awaited trip report!!
Day 1 ~ June 15, 2006
Mike and I arrive at my parents house, bright and early at 7 am. Since there are 7 of us going and tons of baggage, we need to take 2 cars to the airport. All packed up and off to the airport we go, we check in early, since we are flying Southwest and want to make sure that we are in that A line since I have a dress to go in the overhead compartment. I go through security, but i get "red starred" oops!! who knew that you couldn't carry a cake knife and server in your baggage. dumb move by me, i now have to run out and find my parents to put it into their checked luggage. we are first in line to get on the plane, my dress is folded in 3 and in the overhead compartment it goes, the plane is pretty empty, off we go to disney world!!
We land somewhere around 12:30 sucessfully claim all of our baggage and try to manuver it through the airport to get the rental cars. finally loaded up, we're off to get the marriage license...
We get to Orange County courthouse, and the marriage license process was surprisingly simple. We're out of there in about 30 minutes, and we're official to get married in Disney!! We then head back to BJ's to pick up the water bottles and snacks for the welcome bags... We get back to the Beach Club where I am staying with my MOH Laura and my brother's girlfriend & BM Marissa. We've got alot of things to accomplish before Karen - our EM stops by at 6 to pick up the stuff for the reception.
My brother and Marissa put together the programs and we get everything organized for Karen, and she shows up at 6 on the dot.
We quickly put together the welcome bags. And as Mike came to help me deliver them, I almost forgot the itnenary I worked so hard on! The bags came out good, not my original concept but they worked, and everyone loved them! (canvas bags - i couldn't get the right size at the last minute, so i had to scrap that idea.)
Mike helps me deliver the bags (probably the only thing he did to help
and then we go to dinner in Japan at Epcot. After dinner I go back to the Beach Club, visit with the parents for a bit, and i'm passed out asleep by 10:45.
