Ok, maybe it'll post this time...shorter title and all!

I just have to say thanks to everyone who posts helpful info on this site as it certainly made my recent trip more enjoyable as well as affordable! I really felt sorry for this lady who's only shoes were flip flops and needlessly spent $ on dining when it was free! But some interesting details anyway in her report!

Thanks for the link. It was interesting to read. Boy, the reviewers of her report were harsh! I think anyone who takes the time to write a report should be appreciated at least for doing so. Sure, she did some silly things (flip flops in a park??) but she was giving her thoughts and opinions on HER trip. I laughed everytime she ate dessert, it was usually chocolate! I love to read trip reports, as they let me live the experience of being there when I can't!

I read that trip report (I get Frommer's email) -- I thought it was interesting to read a report from someone who wasn't all that "into Disney" before they went.

I couldn't believe she wore flip flops to Animal Kingdom! Wow! I can't even imagine! I had to laugh when she talked about being worried about the monorail falling off it's track.

Didn't seem like she was all that impressed with WDW, but she said at the end she would consider going back one day.

This same report was posted on the DIS trip reports boards. The Disney fanatics were not too happy with her. It is listed under "Newbie Trip Report." You might find it interesting to see some people's reaction.

I'm sorry, but I am really "un-savvy" with the computer, and I don't know how to do that. However, it's pretty easy to find, as it has been bumped back up to today's posting. Go to the "Trip Boards" forum, and look for the thread titled, "Newbie Trip Report -- All In One Thread." It's about 1/3 of the way down the first page. If you still don't find it, let me know. When my DS15 gets home from school, he can show me how to post the link. Sorry.

my first thought was she's a "plant" from universal but after reading the reviews...i thought this board got crabby..geesh give the woman a break... even if she did wear flip flops( must have skipped that section on "what not to wear" in her research) and pretty much hated the whole experience!

Bottom line is that she did not do much research before her trip. She would have avoided a lot of the problems by learning from others.

By the way, wasn't the dining plan free during this time period? She booked a package through AAA and paid $25 per person per day for the dining plan.

i think i have to agree with the other posts on the site about her obsesion with the food details... but she certainly gave so few details on the rides, just "this was great" "This was bad". but why was it great, why was it bad? I think those details are more important to people than food (not to say that isnt important, but the rides and stuff are MORE important).
