Hey everyone,
We are back from a relaxing week at the BWV villas. It was wonderful. Here are the particulars.
Sunday 5/5 -
Flight was horrible, don't want to get back into it, it makes me mad. Used Tiffany towncar for a ride and stopped at Publix for food. Our driver name was "Amin" he was great. Arrived at BWV at 5:00 p.m. Room was ready to go. Room 5018, with a view of Luna Park. At dinner at ESPN and then went back to the room and crashed.
Monday 5/6 -
Started the moring by reading the paper our on the porch of the lobby. Nice and relaxing. Then we took our son (9 mo) to the pool for the first time. He loved it. The construction around the pool had no bad effects for us and they were good at keeping things clean and behind the construction walls.
Went to Epcot in the afternoon and toured the countries. There was no crowd at all. Drank some wine in germany, good stuff. From there we went to the passholder lounge. It was awesome. Each park should have one. It was nice and cool and relaxing. We stayed there for a half hour while DS played with the toys on the floor. Ate dinner at LeCellier Steakhouse. Very good.
Tuesday 5/7 -
Went to GF in the morning because I got my wife a massage/bath thing for an early mothers day present. She loved it. Went over to Studios from GF. Ate lunch at 50's prime time cafe. It was good, but loud and crowded. Went to playhouse Disney after. DS loved the show and Jamie (the MC) came over and played with him on the side. I think other kids were a little jealous, but he did it on his own. Saw the green army men, mulan, pinocchio, and a bunch of other characters around. Hit the pool again in the evening.
Wednesday 5/8 -
Did the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. It was good. Chip,Dale,Goofy and Minnie were there. Dale came over and sat at our table and played with Alex for 10 minutes! It was really neat. Then Goofy came over and sat on the floor with him and they crawled around together and played. We ran out of film we took so many pictures. My wife and I will never forget that breakfast. The rest of the day we spent at Stormalong Bay. It is a really neat pool. That night we went to Wolfgang Pucks for dinner. Very good, but pricey. Did some shopping at Downtown Disney after dinner and then went home.
Thursday 5/9 -
Went to MK that day. Crowds weren't too bad. Got a FP for Pooh. Then went on Haunted mansion and Small world. Got a FP for Peter pan, went on pooh, snow white and then came back for Peter pan. It took us only hour and half for all five rides and lunch. Not bad in my opinion. After that we headed over to toon town. We got in line for character carnival. went to see cinderella. When we entered we got in line for one of the mice. Again, she sat down with alex and held him and played with him for a few minutes. We then walked over to cinderella's line and Alex started crying because he wanted to go back to the mice. But the mice saw him crying and crossed the room to come over to him. So then we had both mice, cinderella, Alex and myself all together and playing with him, needless to stay we ran out of film again. This lasted about 5 minutes and they held off the next group to let him play. It was very nice of them and he loved it.
We went to Pooh's room next and got some great pic's of tigger, eyeore and pooh with Alex too (for some reason, the characters really love babies
That night it was back to the pool. It was very refreshing after a long, hot day.
Friday 5/10 -
Checked out. Had a early afternoon flight. Characters were in the lobby and Alex just squealed when he saw them. Not going to talk about the flight home either.
All in all, it was a great, relaxing, fun trip. Weather was in the low to mid 90's each day. Crowds at the parks were low. It was either parents with small kids, or older adults. Not very many school age kids. Transportation was good. Never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. I did notice that the Blizzard beach bus was full by the time it got to the Boardwalk, and people were mad about that. Also, I still don't see why the have so many resorts on one route. The MK busses were always full. They need to split it up to make more space.
I will try to answer any questions I can, in the timely manner I can. Can't wait to go back in Oct.
