Hello!

I am a 29 year old male. married and have a 20-month old daughter. I am well aware of the fact that I enjoy Disney more than most grown, straight men. But, it cannot be helped. My parents took me and my siblings to Disney every 2 years since I was 2 and until I graduated high school in 1998. I have not been back since. and, 1998 was also the last time I vacationed with my family.

BUT, a trip is planned. My parents are DVC members. And they decided it was time for a massive family gathering now that the wife and I started a new generation of Disney lovers. So, in late March of 2010, myself, wife and child, as well as parents, 3 siblings and sister-in-law will be staying at a Grand Villa at Old Key West Resort. I could not be more excited. Like I said, I really like Disney. and can't believe it's been 11 years! the wife and I did go to Disneyland for our honeymoon in 2006. It was excellent. But, I still feel almost homesick for The World.

Anyway...

The Grand Villa is booked for March 21st - March 27th. That much is known. but, over the next 9 months, more details will fall into place. such as...

Airfare----is freaking expensive. I'm hoping find tickets for around $200 a person. Right now, they're at $276. BUT, in November, Southwest Airlines will start flying out of milwaukee. Hoping that'll help things.

Length of Stay-like I said, the Grand Villa is booked from March 21st - March 27. a Sunday through Friday. NOT enough time. So, I think at least myself and my immediate family, will add a day to each end of the trip and stay off site. my parents have said they would do this if we did it. we'll see...i know off site hotels are uber cheap in orlando and it would give us an option of a pool day...or even 2.

Who is going?-there is some question here. my youngest brother just graduated college, so, he's at a point where he is unsure if he'll be at a place where he can take a week off of work. ALSO, he currently has had a gf for about a year...and if they're still together, she will be joining us. If not (and my brother has never kept a girlfriend for much longer than a year), my grandmother (86) will be joining us.

Who is going- -part 2-the current plan is to start trying for child #2 in december. last time, it took about 2 months. so, there's a very good chance that my wife could be pregnant in march. which wouldn't make THAT much of a difference, since, in terms of rides, our 30-month-old daughter would be just as restrictive as a pregnancy. but, i'm sure if this wasn't an issue, we'd find takers for the little girl while we used a FP on a thrill-ish type ride.

As you can probably imagine, I'm highly excited. so excited, that i decided to start one of these things. I figure, if nothing else, it'll be fun to read back after the trip is over to re-live how it all came together. it is gonna be an interesting 9 months.

Hello, from a fellow Wisconsinite.
Look at Southwest now, they just opened their itinerary for Milwaukee.
They were having a sale of $39 one way, I'm betting you can still find decent flights.
I am totally excited that Southwest is coming to Milwaukee, I had the "Ding" downloaded for my dd when she was in GA.
I'm sure by your User ID name you are a brewer fan, but do you work for the Brewers?
