Trip Report from 5/27 - 6/3

OMG!!!!!!:rotfl: I bet that cost the renter some bucks!!! :rotfl2: Could you imagine :rotfl2:( I can't even type this for laughing so hard). Are you sure you didn't do this the night of the brbbq? :rotfl::rotfl: LOL!!!!

Well, since I don't remember that much from the evening, I'm pretty sure that wasn't our cart since ours was white. It could of been that we took a different cart and went cruising with it and just left it there. That explains why my shoes were all wet that night :confused3

I forgot to mention that while we were on the boat going to the kingdom, I swear I saw Shan Man, but I don't think he was there that week or was he? Must be a look a like he sends out there to spy when he cant. ;)

DS was very happy because he got a drivers license driving the race cars, he got to be honory captain and got to drive the jungle cruise boat, and we sat in the very front of the monorail.

Thats about it. We were at MK from 8:30am -midnite. Kids were wipped, dh was wipped, and I kinda was to.

More to come for Monday...................

Loving the TR! :) Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip!! We're going down in August and from reading everyone's TRs I will definitely have to do one too....

It was great taking the boat over the kids really loved it.

That is one of the coolest parts of Fort Wilderness, jumping on a boat to go to and from the Magic Kingdom!

With the Monorails, I found out that at Disney, Just Ask! While waiting for a Monorail at the Contemporary, I talked to one of the gate people about the Monorails, and he said he would put us in the front. I think I enjoyed that more than my kids.

So I'll finish the day (wednesday) since I can't sleep. So after we were looping in the rain, it was time to go back to the cabin and get ready for dinner at Chef Mickey. The kids thought it was a blast to take the boat over to the contemporary.
By then it had finished raining. It rained for about an hour or so.

That was basically it for the first day since we were all up since 4:30am. We went looping afterwords for a while and saw 4 deer, a bunch of rabbits and squirrells.

Thursday, May 28

Today, we had my sister in law and brother in law come out and hang with us at the fort since they were at disney the same time we were, they live about 45 min west of us in Michigan.

They have 2 sons 7 and 2 and I knew we could get all 8 of us into the cart but DH was sceptical, but it did happen in the end, and we all did fit.

The splash zone and pool were awesome. The splash zone had cooler water than the pool, so we hung out there most of the time. My ds went down the slide once, and really didn't like it but my dd loved it and kept going, and going and going. This day the pool wasn't packed at all, but had a fair amount of people.

Thats ds on the left.

and of course dh on the right with a beer in his hand as usual.

At the bottom of the slide, topside, its like sandpaper. We all had a few rug burns to show from that.

And yes, I did go play in the 'zone'. but no pics to prove it.

So we spent the day there then went back to the cabin and got ready for Mickeys backyard bbq. Oh yeah, it rained that day again for about another hour or so. the kids were entertained by the lifeguards under the pavilion. I just wanted to sneak away and leave them with em, they were really good with the kids.

Now I really have to go to bed. the report about the bbq is cool cuz it was all you could drink beer and wine, and I love my wine.

Ohmygosh- I think you got a picture of my son! LOL
In the 2nd pool photo- the boy standing (where he shouldn't!!!) inbetween the 2 slides of the splash station- in the pirate/skull swimtrunks- his head is down so you can't see his face, but that sure looks like my boy. LOL We were there together that day at the pool and didn't even know it! LOL

Enjoying your trip report- thanks for posting it! You got a photo of our sign too- which I'm thankful since I didn't think to get it. (the one with 1447 on it) For a minute there I thought you might show a photo of our actual site (1447) showing our trailer and everything- and that would have been such a small world in "the world" wouldn't it? LOL

You are doing a great job on your trip report. And your photos are great! I love the golf cart in the lake! Thanks for sharing, and I am looking forward to more.

On Monday, we headed over to Clearwater, west coast of Florida by Tampa to visit with my mom. My FIL picked us up around 11:30 and we headed out. Its about 1 1/2 hour drive or so.

Before that we took the boat over to the Contemporary and had a quick service breakfast. I loved being on the dining plan. Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary had really good quick service meals. The Fort was ok, but they definately need something like the other two have.

Just a few pics from my moms townhouse pool.

So we headed out of Clearwater around 10-10:30pm or so. Myself and the kids basically slept all the way back to the cabin. We got there around 12-12:30am, put the kids to bed :cloud9:. FIL was staying the night to hang out with us the last day :headache:.

Since I was so full of energy, I was going to go looping since I didn't have much time to take the cart by myself. Oh yeah, It's like 1am.

I should of taken the camera on this adventure, but I didn't.

I drove around a couple of loops to see the campers lights, blah, blah, blah. My main mission was to see where I could TAKE the cart :rolleyes1. I was being good for the most part. I did wonder into CM only areas and looked around.

For the most part I stayed where carts were only allowed to go. I did go into this one area that was basically a 2 track alley. It was by an exit, not the main one, but by a little one I didn't discover during the day. It had really big pot holes and it was in the middle of the woods. There was no sign that said no carts, but again, it was 1am so there could of been a sign. I ventured in only about a quarter of a mile, surrounded by dark. If I wasn't in FL, and there wasn't man eatting spiders, I would of ventured some more. So I turned around and continued my looping. Went by the stables and saw 1 horse standing, and 1 horse laying down. I forgot horses lay down for a little while, and at that time, I thought it was dead. But went back a few min later and it was kinda sitting up. So that night I think I saw the same 4 deer we saw a previous night, a family of armadillos, did you know they are blind? And a billion rabbits. My cart was acting flaky because it wasn't charged all day, so I headed back and called it a night. That was fun though, I recommend looping late at night or early, early am.

Oh Yeah, in case your wondering some more, the top bunk does hold a pooh sized person, yes me :thumbsup2. FIL was sleeping on the murphy bed, DS never wanted to sleep on the top bunk, but did before we got to the Fort, so he shared bottom with DD. DH and me, both pooh sized if you couldn't tell from the pics, had to share the double bed  That didn't work, especially with DH sawing logs in my ear :scared1: So off to the top bunk I go. Scared all night I was going to crash into the bottom bunk.

End of Monday night.

So Tuesday, we all slept in a little, till about 10am or so and headed to Wilderness Lodge to grab quick service, again, good food there to for breakfast. The day was planned just to hang out at the Fort, do our last minute shopping for crap, hang out at the pool, then turn the cart in at 7pm, go to dinner with FIL off site and pack up to leave the next day early AM.

So basically you saw most of the pics I had at the Fort. This day I wanted to take the kids to the pony rides. $5 for a 5 minute or less pony ride? What a rip , but the kids loved it. And cheap skate FIL actually sprung the 10 bucks for the kids to ride

So it was a sad, sad, day :sad1: The dreaded check out letter came, and so did the room charging letter. That was double than what DH thought it would be, but he doesn't know that, so shhhhhh, don't tell :guilty:

Had a great time at the pool again, got a great, great tan. Turned the cart into Kenny at 7pm, then we went to dinner in Orlando to a seafood rest. called Johnny.......something or other can't remember, but it sucked. Rather of eaten at meadows. Came back, said our good byes, FIL will be up in MI end of July, and started the frenzy packing, since I didn't do anything all day.

Wednesday, June 3 check out day :sad1:

So we had the van come pick us up at 7:30am and got our bus at 8am back to the airport. Uneventful flight, thank goodness, made it home safe and sound.

I LOVE THE FORT!!!!!!

I will go back again, and DH said he would to, and that's not like him. He likes to try everything at least once. We had an excellent time and it went by soooo fast. I didn't even get to use the arcade coupon we got

I hope you enjoyed my trip report. I loved writing it and so glad I could share our photos and trip with you all, my second family  I hope to see everyone in 2013. Take care and god bless.
